Commonwealth[]

The Watoga part "Riley, I had no idea that you were still in the commonwealth, let alone in Watoga!" says Commonwealth. Why is then stated Watoga is in an unnamed one? Wouldn't it be Appalachia? We also have the "Senator of the Appalachia Territories." My assumption is that these are all the same thing, no? I know what a Territory is in the USA but since it's Fallout it could be another thing. --Ryon21 Signature Image Ryon21 (talk) 20:09, 22 June 2021 (UTC)

Watoga is in a commonwealth, but the commonwealth in which Watoga exists is not named. Watoga is the name of a city. Though we have several variants of "Territory of Appalachia" named in the game, none of them are explicitly or implicitly identified as the name of a commonwealth (though I personally have long held the belief that "Appalachian Territory" or some variant thereof is indeed the name of the commonwealth).

That is fair. Though, since it could be or not Appalachia, it is okay if I just leave that bit in Watoga's page rather than stating in the Appa page that Watoga is part of a unnamed commonwealth? Or maybe rephrase it to include we don't know if this commonwealth is Appalachia as the later hasn't been referred as such. --Ryon21 Signature Image Ryon21 (talk) 21:03, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
Since we do know that the United States was divided up into the Thirteen Commonwealths and that Appalachia/West Virginia is part of one (or more) of those commonwealths, it is accurate to say that Appalachia is part of an unnamed commonwealth. Moving the reference to the Watoga page implies that Watoga alone is part of a commonwealth, which isn't accurate. Watoga is a part of Appalachia, which is a part of (insert commonwealth name here), which is a part of the United States.
