Detailed walkthrough[]

Light the Mischief pyre[]

The event starts at the Whitespring Resort's Springhouse gazebo northeast of the tennis court and golf club. An Eyebot, JES-2R, will be waiting near a small bonfire built at the center of the structure. Activate and light the "Mischief pyre" to continue to the next stage.

A red trunk labeled "costume chest" is also in the gazebo, containing a clown hat and tin foil hat. Note that player characters wearing at least one "costume item" (see table) earn twice the progress on objectives and will be granted additional rewards at the end of the event.[1]

Sow mayhem in the park[]

JES-2R will begin to fly through the park from the Springhouse to get to the next pyre. The player characters must perform any combination of the following tasks to fill the "mayhem bar:"

  • Take out Whitespring robots: Defeat waves of "friendly" Whitespring robots that spawn along the route.
  • Blow up cars: Attack nearby vehicles until they explode.
  • Light bonfires: Activate and light the numerous bonfires found along the route.

Once the bar is filled, follow JES-2R to the park's small wooden gazebo. Activate and light the nearby Mischief pyre to continue.

Sow mayhem along the cottages[]

JES-2R will again begin to fly to the next pyre, this time alongside the cottages on High Street. The player characters must perform any combination of the following tasks to fill the "mayhem bar:"

  • Take out Whitespring robots: Defeat waves of "friendly" Whitespring robots that spawn along the route.
  • Blow up cars: Attack nearby vehicles until they explode.
  • Trick-or-treat: Activate the orange candy bowls near the cottage doors and receive random candy.
  • Graffiti walls: Activate the orange and green paint splatters on the cottage walls. Choose a graphic (pumpkin man, blood splatters, Mothman tribute, or grinning skull) to "graffiti" the wall.

Once the bar is filled, follow JES-2R to the end of the cottages near the southeastern entrance. Activate and light the nearby Mischief pyre to continue.

Sow mayhem in the courtyard[]

JES-2R will fly to the final pyre, this time in the center of the main entrance's courtyard. The player characters must perform any combination of the following tasks to fill the "mayhem bar:"

  • Take out Whitespring robots: Defeat waves of "friendly" Whitespring robots that spawn along the route.
  • Blow up cars: Attack nearby vehicles until they explode.
  • Trick-or-treat: Activate the orange candy bowls near the skeletons and receive random candy.
  • Fork the lawns: Activate the cardboard boxes around the central island's grassy areas. Rows of orange and black forks will appear tines-up in the grass.

Once the bar is filled, follow JES-2R to the center of the courtyard. Activate and light the central Mischief pyre to continue.

Take out the Whitespring elite security force[]

After lighting the final pyre, waves of Whitespring Protectrons and Whitespring Assaultrons will spawn around the courtyard. Defeat the legendary Whitespring sentry bot appearing from the main entrance to complete the event.

Notes[]

  • The event used to start at the top of every hour (at XX:00) and restarted if the previous hour's instance was not completed.
  • According to Jeff Gardiner, the event did not return because it caused server issues.[2]

Availability[]

This limited time event was only available from October 29 - November 5th, 2019.

Behind the scenes[]

The event is a reference to Mischief Night, an informal adolescent holiday of vandalism and pranking typically set on October 30, the day before Halloween night.
