Janice was the sister of professional baseball player Jim Walker, and the fiance of Walker's teammate Nathan Broadhurst.
Background[]
When the Great War began on October 23rd, 2077, Janice's brother and fiance were both in Boston playing for the Swatting Sultans in the World Series game against Texas. They both survived the War thanks to the stadium walls, and left Boston together to try and reach Walker's family in Charleston West Virginia, hoping that Janice would be there too. Only Nathan made it to Appalachia, as Jim was killed by hostile survivors in Bedford, but he never found Janice or Walker's family.[1]
