The mysterious cave is a location in Big MT in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Old World Blues.
Layout[]
Situated slightly south-southeast of the Big MT north tunnel and southeast of the Forbidden Zone dome entrance in the ordinal northeast side of Big MT, the location interior has nearly the same layout as broc flower cave, without the radioactive barrels and lit torches.
Upon entering the cave, there are paths leading to the left and right. The left branch leads to a large chamber where the legendary bloatfly lives. Going right leads to a balcony overlooking the large chamber which offers a good perch to snipe the legendary bloatfly from. There is also a small cave offering a small amount of loot and a cot that can be slept in.

- 50 pieces of bloatfly meat, 20 Psycho, and 20 Buffout - Found on the legendary bloatfly's body.
- 20 mutant cave fungus

The map marker on the compass may only appear when at the Forbidden Zone dome entrance, making it difficult to find the cave. [verified]
