The United States Forest Service was a government agency under the Department of Agriculture, tasked with managing America's national forests.
Background[]
Before the Great War, the Forest Service was founded to protect the United States' national forests. In Appalachia, they were in charge of Monongahela National Forest, and also had some involvement in Kanawha National Park.[2] They also had a small ranger cabin up in Massachusetts. Various ranger cabins and ranger offices can be found after the war throughout the wastelands.
