Communist (Camp Liberty)

Communists are human combatants found at Camp Liberty in Appalachia in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update. They are former members of the Pioneer Scouts who have been brainwashed into becoming hostile advocates of communism.

They are not to be confused with the ghoul communists at the Deep, who were introduced in the Wastelanders update, and appear in Daily Ops (whereas these human communists do not).

Behind the scenes[]

Of the voice types used by the communists, two (female and male) are named as though they belong to ghouls (Storm_NPCF/M_GenericCommunistCampers_Ghoul). However, the communists at Camp Liberty do not appear to ever spawn as ghouls, and the voice lines associated with these voice types do not sound like ghouls. This appears to indicate that there were originally plans for the communists to have ghoul variants, but this was changed at some point in development, and the names of these voice types were left over.
