Mrs. Claybourne was a 91-year-old resident of Monongah before the Great War.
Background[]
Mrs. Claybourne called the Monongah Police Department after spotting a strange animal on her property. Because she was frightened of the creature, Mrs. Claybourne had equipped a loaded shotgun. Citing "standard procedure," Officer Jack Dimwiddy ran across her front lawn, broke down her front door, swept her legs, and disarmed her.
Even though Mrs. Claybourne was clearly elderly and balancing the shotgun on her walker, Dimwiddy seemed satisfied with his behavior, especially after Mrs. Claybourne called him a "dumbass, psycho cop" from her hospital bed, recovering from a broken hip.
After investigating her residence, Dimwiddy found just one animal track, claiming that the SWAT and crime scene units had trampled all other prints. The incident prompted an investigation from the Officer Oversight Committee, which determined that Dimwiddy had displayed "excessive zeal" but acted within proper force. Chairperson Geraldine Dimwiddy, one of his family members, recommended him for commendation.[1][2]
