Caroline Saunders was a pre-War private contractor.

Background[]

Caroline Saunders was hired by the Bysshe Company to be the lead geological chemist for the USS Ozymandias' mission investigating bio-gas deposits in Point Lookout, during which she recorded three holotapes. She was chosen for the job because she was the only candidate who had experience with wetland excavations.[1]

However, those who hired her at the Bysshe Company worried that Saunders was a "known liberal with academic ties" who could potentially cause issues for the company if she found out that the reason for bio-gas richness in the region was due to American Civil War mass burials.[1] The Bysshe Company hired Dr. Martin J. Roach to pose as a research intern in order to prevent her from discovering this information.[1] However, Dr. Roach was unable to do so and Saunders attempted to communicate with her academic contacts.[2] Thus, the Bysshe Company authorized him to enact "Code Blue protocols" and "leave no evidence" to stop Saunders from hampering bio-gas extraction.[3]

Appearances[]

Caroline Saunders is mentioned only in the Fallout 3 add-on Point Lookout.

Behind the scenes[]

"Code Blue" is a phrase used by hospitals to indicate that a patient has entered cardiac arrest.
