Martin posed as a research intern during the USS Ozymandias' mission of investigating bio-gas deposits in Point Lookout. His true assignment was to prevent Caroline Saunders from discovering the link between Point Lookout's bloody past and the gas deposits and thereby endangering the company's exploitation of Point Lookout's natural bio-gas deposits.[1]
