Bark Mining Speed[]

Can bark blocks be broken at the same speed and with the same tools/hands as wood can be broken? If so, I'll add that to the "obtaining" section of the article. Madminecrafter12 (talk) 02:45, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Yep, help me make one up. I just made a preview of it. Pls help me to change Wood to Bark. Skylord wars (talk) 04:38, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Done. – Dentedharp90041tce 10:54, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Great, thanks! Madminecrafter12 (talk) 13:41, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

History[]

Does anyone knew when did Bark were added? Into research. It was added before 1.13, but just commands. Skylord wars (talk) 04:39, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Hm, I don't know. It's a been a long time, that's for sure. Does it say anything on the log page? -PancakeIdentity (talk) 05:19, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
It has been added in 1.3.1 snapshot 12w30d, when wood can now be placed in different orientations. – Dentedharp90041tce 10:53, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Bark blocks will be added to Bedrock Edition in the future. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Kentomandac (talkcontribs) at 21:35, 24 August 2018 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Merge proposal with Wood[]

The following is a closed discussion of a proposed merge. Please do not modify it. Any editors wishing to make further comments should start a new topic.

The result of the discussion was merge.

I don't really get why this page was created. Bark blocks have the exact same properties as wood, besides being craft-able from them. They were originally a block state of wood blocks even (until 1.13). Smooth/Cut sandstone does not have a separate page and it's basically the same situation (blockstate for sandstone up to 1.13, now has its own block ID and is craft-able from regular sandstone). --Pepijn (talk) 12:41, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

I second this FVbico (talk) 13:20, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
I support this proposal and agree with Pepijn’s statement. The same proposal has been opened for the Russian article. — BabylonAS (talk | ru.Wiki Admin) (fka NickTheRed37) 14:50, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

Comment The Russian article has been merged after not a lengthy discussion yesterday. Russian interwiki is removed from the article. — BabylonAS (talk | ru.Wiki Admin) (fka NickTheRed37) 15:11, 11 December 2017 (UTC)

I support also. The article has been merged on the French wiki. • Koocks1337 (talk) 17:37, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
I think this has enough support now. I will look into merging the two pages when I have time, if nobody else has done it by then.--Pepijn (talk) 14:54, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
I've merged the article since this proposal has had unanimous support from many users, and no objections since the proposal was made a month ago. -Sonicwave (talk|edits) 03:15, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

Note: As Stripped Bark has been introduced, the articles have been split again, see Talk:Log#Splitting the page. | violine1101(Talk) 15:48, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

InvSprite names[]

Woods' Inventory Sprite names still called "Bark", I hope Someone can fix it.--Lxazl5770 zh.admin) 10:42, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

Put stripping in the article body?[]

I know it's in the intro, but, in my opinion, that shouldn't be the only place in an article that information is stated. Given the brevity of most intros, I think readers (such as myself) tend to skip them. If we followed this logic in other areas, we'd have very incomplete articles. For example, the zombie page would have nowhere in the article that states they burn in daylight or attack players and villagers. (Edit: It's also on the log pag in the article body.) -PancakeIdentity (talk) 23:35, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

Merge with what? –Sonicwave talk 17:39, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
With logs. —50.242.158.98 15:19, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
Oppose. Those are two entirely different blocks. Thomanski (talk) 15:22, 17 March 2020 (UTC)
They have some similar properties, but yes, they are quite different in certain ways. —50.242.158.98 14:39, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

Crafting ingredient table broken[]

When I went to edit the page to update it for 1.16, the crafting ingredient table broke despite me never editing it. I can't see any reason why it would be so, and it unbreaks when attempting to visually edit, but won't save unbroken. Anyone know what's going on here? Is something just cached incorrectly?
