If you have any problems or questions regarding any of my edits or reverts, please let me know here so we can discuss it. You can use the comment section on my profile page for simple questions.

I am often very direct and to the point in edit/revert messages, there's not a lot of space for these messages. I know a lot people just try to help when they make an edit and I appreciate that a lot.

Requests for verification are also welcome, I enjoy messing around in the Minecraft code and I will see what I can do for you.

Function page[]

Do you want to take a stab at creating a Function page? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 02:22, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

I'm not very experienced with formatting and the style guidelines yet (I only started actively editing recently). So I don't think I'm the right person to make the initial page. I won't mind contributing though, functions are pretty simple since they're just plain text files so it won't take long.--Pepijn (talk) 03:13, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

Structure Block[]

why?,check the files please.Storymodefan0315 (talk) 06:37, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

This was your change: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Structure_Block&type=revision&diff=1105931&oldid=1105877
I'm unsure what you meant with an export mode for structure blocks and you messed up the History table. --Pepijn (talk) 06:42, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
in PE,there is a part of the textures folder that contains structure blocks and one of them is the export mode.Storymodefan0315 (talk) 06:49, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
I would personally mention that on the page itself once the structure block is actually obtainable without mods and leave it out of the history table since it already has "Added structure blocks" making your addition kind of redundant (they were implemented with this "export" mode, it wasn't added later). --Pepijn (talk) 06:57, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Inconsistent order of Grant / revoke[]

Have you filed a bug report for that? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 22:52, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

I only have theoretical "proof" ("advancement tree is data-driven" + "grant/revoke order using from/through depends on advancement tree" = "grant/revoke order using from/through is data-driven and thus depends on the operating system") and no practical "proof" (since I can only test this on one OS). So I don't know if a different OS will actually result in a different order, maybe they all read the file similarly enough for it not to matter or maybe they read it differently but it doesn't matter in the end. I should probably change the wording to say that it theoretically might make a difference (with current operating systems or future ones), but this sounds like speculation so maybe I should just remove it until I get some more confirmation. Your thoughts on this? --Pepijn (talk) 23:09, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
MCP 9.40 prerelease 1 is out, which covers 1.12 ... Are you good with Java? You could check whether it enforces the advancement tree to have any sorted order, after reading from the filesystem. Or check whether the thing reading the directory is guaranteed by Java to be read in a particular order. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 23:19, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
I will have a look after I updated to that version. --Pepijn (talk) 23:41, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
It's really complicated and full of unnamed fields, I'm just going to ask Dinnerbone about it. --Pepijn (talk) 00:20, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
Got some confirmation that it's possible for one OS to have a different loading order than an other OS, thus making a different advancement tree and changing the order of granting/revoking. --Pepijn (talk) 16:52, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
Aha. The advancement trees on the Advancements page were screen-shot on a Windows 10, and you might be able to compare against those if you are running something different. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 18:49, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
I got some people to help out with different operating systems (just missing some from Mac OS atm, but someone with Mac OS Sierra will do it tomorrow hopefully). So far everything has the same exact order, if Mac confirms this I'm going to remove the inconsistency mention from the commands page since it's not really relevant (although still technically true). --Pepijn (talk) 19:42, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Can I help?[]

I think I can improve your sandbox at User:PepijnMC/sandbox/Tutorials/Creating an advancement. – Dentedharp90041tce 13:33, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

I haven't been able to spend any time on that page lately. Feel free to edit it, that way it might actually get completed anytime soon :D. --Pepijn (talk) 17:58, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for allowing me to edit your sandbox. I will make sure that I improve it the best that I can. :D – Dentedharp90041tce 12:09, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

193.181.20.252[]

why did you undo their edit? --Kagenari Nagumo (talk) 16:18, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

Please be more specific, I edited/undid more than one of their edits. --Pepijn (talk) 16:25, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

Definition of local coordinates[]

On the 1.13 page you keep removing my corrections. But from what I understand from the news post of the snapshot, you must be wrong. The explanation says that "local" is at the position of the camera, because ^ ^1.62 ^1 is the block right in front of a players face, which means the zero values are at the entity that is looking, not where the entity is looking at. So from this, the sentence should be at least either looking from or looking at, to distinguish between the position of the camera and to where the camera is pointing at respectively, and so in this case the former is correct. Please do not just delete this additional word I keep adding in, because your phrase "to where the entity is looking" is ambiguous, as it isn't obvious which of the two positions you're talking about. And this is regarding the definition of a coordinate system, so be specific please. – Jack McKalling [ Jack McKalling's User page Jack McKalling's Talk page Jack McKalling's Contributions ] 12:43, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

The system is further defined below that initial statement. All coordinate systems are "from the position of the entity", that's not special in any way. ~ ~ ~ is the exact same as ^ ^ ^. Once you start adding numbers you will see the difference. ~ follows the world coordinate axes, ^ follows the axes defined by the rotation of the executing entity. Stating that the coordinates start at the entity position is thus useless, both ~ and ^ do that. The point that needs to come across is that the axes are defined differently. --Pepijn (talk) 13:20, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
You're right about all of that, and now the edits look all right, but the way you phrased it before was ambiguous. We both know both those symbols have the entity as the point of origin, but the phrase made it look like you intended that the point of origin was outside the entity, at the point where it is looking at. That is the reason why I wanted to make the distinction, however now it isn't ambiguous anymore anyway so it's good now. It now points out that both symbols measure from the entity as the origin of the relevant coordinate system, and that's all I wanted to point out. – Jack McKalling [ Jack McKalling's User page Jack McKalling's Talk page Jack McKalling's Contributions ] 13:44, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

"Just test it, it's been this way for a while now."

Nah man, it's been ages since I've fired up Minecraft, don't even have it installed on this computer. =D ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 14:21, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

Rip. But wouldn't it be better than to give the statement the benefit of the doubt and see if anyone else reverts it, instead of undoing it? I guess it coming from a non-registered user makes it generally more likely to be false though. --Pepijn (talk) 15:04, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
Sorry to drop in, but I have this or a similar problem too sometimes. I'm subscribed to a ton of pages, and I proof-read every single edit that they notify me of every day, but I don't always know for certain whether every little bit is true or not. I can't playtest everything I read. Usually I can spot what is or isn't false information but when I'm not sure, I'd leave it to someone else who does know or who can test it. And in some simple cases I'd test it myself, like you remember in Generated structures/1170158. That is the beauty of the community, we all work together with everyone's unique self-proclaimed specialization. – Jack McKalling [ Jack McKalling's User page Jack McKalling's Talk page Jack McKalling's Contributions ] 16:15, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

Download hashes[]

Is there a way to use Template:Downloadlink that User:Skylord wars created, as a central hash storage for download links? 79.198.243.240 19:25, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

Such changes have to be discussed first. Leave a post on the community portal with a suggestion to use the downloadlink template instead of providing the hashes to the version nav template. --Pepijn (talk) 19:56, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

Patroller right[]

Hi! Dinoguy1000 has put you in the patroller user group, which allows you to mark other edits as patrolled and rollback edits. It's strongly recommended to take a look at MCW:Patrollers for an explanation of the role, as well as a quick guide. Here's a brief overview of both of the permissions the user right provides:

  • Marking edits as patrolled. This basically tells other patrollers and administrators that the edit has been reviewed and any problems both content-wise and formatting-wise, have been fixed - e.g., open HTML tags or incorrect information. Since you're a new patroller, if you're unsure about something, it's better to leave it to a more experienced patroller or administrator. Additionally, you can take a look at Special:log/patrol, to get an idea of when other patrollers mark edits as patrolled.
  • Rolling back edits. Clicking "rollback" will instantly rollback all of the last contributions to the page by the user without leaving an edit summary, while clicking the pencil button will allow the summary to be edited. The most important thing here, is if there's any chance that the user was trying to be helpful to the wiki or the information might be correct but you haven't tested it, make sure to leave an explanatory edit summary.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Additionally, if you don't want this user right, feel free to ask for it to be removed here, and I can ping Dinoguy.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed TerracottaTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta 13:20, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
