Java Edition[]

1.13 is only for Java Edition, and in this page, there are some features from 1.13 (previously Technically Updated) which is not sure for Bedrock Edition. Maybe adding a note or move it to another section?--Skylord wars (talk) 01:39, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

PepijnMC added the Java Edition only template to all of the features that were always planned to be added in 1.13. However, the lead section still says that it is an upcoming update to be released to the Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, so that may need to be reworded.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 16:01, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
There's nothing wrong with the lead section, Update Aquatic IS for Java and Bedrock. It's just that Java will get a bunch of technical features with it. It's a bit messy, I have to agree with that. Maybe we should split it up using sections instead of spamming the "only" template (Java and Bedrock Edition, Java Edition). --Pepijn (talk) 16:20, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

Yes! Now, Update Aquatic will be merged into Ocean Aquatic Update and Aquatic Update! Stop reverting my edit and will be banned! Nothing is wrong. Kentomandac (talk) 06:11, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but this is simply not true. The Technically Updated was merged into the Update Aquatic, but there was never an "Aquatic Update," nor any mention of one. Is there a specific place where you saw this? If so, by all means, link to it, but if it's something you made up, we simply can't put it on the page.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta JE2 BE2Talk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta JE1 BE1 12:43, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
And don't threaten to ban people to try to "win" discussions. You don't have that ability, no editor who does have the ability is going to ban someone for that reason, and banning doesn't resolve discussions anyways. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 12:59, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
I'm glad you managed to find a source, Kentomandac, but I really don't know if that's reliable enough (I'm not trying to find any way so that you can't change it, I'm just thinking realistically and factually here). To me that Reddit post just seems like an excited Minecraft player just posting on Reddit, it certainly doesn't seem like an official term or anything. As far as I know, ibxtoycat is not involved with the development of any Minecraft editions, although it's very possible that this is true, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Even if they are though, I really don't think one post briefly stating a slightly different name means that's an official name, or a different version that's going to be merged into this one. I personally think it was fine, and CORRECT, just as "Update Aquatic," although it may be nice to have a second opinion here before starting an edit war.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta JE2 BE2Talk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta JE1 BE1 13:20, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
Ibxtoycat is certainly no official source. "Aquatic Update" was a common unofficial term initially, since that's the syntax used for nearly all other update names (redstone update, horse update, pretty scary update), but it has been steadily abandoned as a term as people have gotten used to "Update Aquatic". As for "Ocean Aquatic Update", that's just toycat being toycat; he is prone to fumble up terms. - Princess Nightmoon (TalkContributions) 14:06, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
Ok, thank you for the info. In that case, I think it would probably be best to just leave it as "Update Aquatic," unless somebody can find a reliable source stating otherwise.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta JE2 BE2Talk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta JE1 BE1 14:13, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

should Nautilus core and Nautilus shell be here[]

Since the "Heart of the Sea" (Originally "Nautilus Core") and the Nautilus shell have been confirmed should they be added to this page? jjlr (talk) 22:46, 10 April 2018 (UTC)

Bedrock Edition 1.6[]

Re BDJP007301's revert here, although Bedrock Edition 1.6 wasn't officially part of the Update Aquatic, it did add a lot of features of the Java Update Aquatic that are mentioned in the Notable features section. Therefore, I would support including it in the {{main}} template. However, I would like to see what other people's opinions are on this and I do not want to get in an edit war, which is why I'm bringing this up here instead of just reverting the revert. =)-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta JE2 BE2Talk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta JE1 BE1 15:29, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

 Oppose adding to {{main}} per:
-BDJP (t|c) 15:37, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
I could understand that. However, the reason I'm thinking to have it there is not because BE 1.6 is part of the Update Aquatic, because it's not, but because the notable features section mentions phantoms. Therefore, I don't think it makes sense to not link to the update that has phantoms, when it is clearly covered there.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta JE2 BE2Talk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta JE1 BE1 15:41, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
My preference would be to add the following note in the Notable Features section. Besides avoiding implying that 1.6 was part of Update Aquatic, it would clarify that these features are not part of it for Bedrock, which fact doesn't currently seem to be mentioned in this article.
Note: The phantom mob and features related to it (phantom spawn egg, phantom membrane, slow falling status effect, potion of slow falling and its splash and lingering variants, and arrow of slow falling) were not part of the Update Aquatic for Bedrock Edition, but were added to it in Bedrock Edition 1.6.Auldrick (talk · contribs) 17:54, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
That's a good idea, Auldrick. I  Support that more than I support my original proposal. It makes it clear to readers that although Bedrock Edition 1.6 wasn't technically part of the Update Aquatic, that it added phantoms, etc. which are mentioned on this page.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta JE2 BE2Talk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta JE1 BE1 13:37, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
I also  Support Auldrick’s suggestion. -BDJP (t|c) 15:35, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
