Duplicates[]

Special:FileDuplicateSearch/Acacia Leaves.png says that Acacia Leaves JE2 (Acacia Leaves.png), Dark Oak Leaves JE2 (Dark Oak Leaves.png), and Oak Leaves JE2 (Oak Leaves.png) are duplicates. Can someone please fix this? – NixinovaBook and Quill Diamond Pickaxe Map (item) • 07:21, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

Since they are different types of trees, deleting two would not make sense. It might make more sense to move one to "Leaves.png", since it belongs to half of the types of trees. The others would be deleted. The BlobsPaper 14:24, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

Just realized that this has been completed, but the originals have not been marked for deletion yet. Before marking them for deletion, though, we should probably get a bot to change all file links that are for Acacia Leaves, Oak Leaves, or Dark Oak Leaves, and change them to the File:Leaves.png.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 20:33, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Already done that few moment ago by me :P Oakar567 (talk) 23:08, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Disagree, the beta texture pack to test out the new official textures shows that all of these will gain different textures. Why waste resources that will have to be undone in the near future. --Pepijn (talk) 23:36, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
Do you mean in the upcoming Texture Update? If so, I agree, as I downloaded the new textures, and the 3 types of leaves will be different after this update. Also, as all of the texture changes have already been completed, I suspect that the update will come out pretty soon.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 02:59, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

13w43a in history shows incorrect icons[]

Both icons shown for snapshot 13w43a in history are the same image, and neither are the same as the trees being mentioned. jjlr (talk) 11:25, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Until the Texture Update, the acacia and dark oak textures were the same to oak, along with birch (although birch is always colored differently, no matter what biome). —71.220.202.145 23:26, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Question[]

I don't understand the Block_states section:

   true The block will decay.
false The block will be checked for decay.

Compare this to https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Java_Edition_data_values#Leaves where it has two types of states:

no decay, and check for decay

both or neither of which can get set. I would have guessed "persistent" meant "no decay", not "The block will decay." –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Fredhead (talkcontribs) at 01:46, 27 July 2018‎ (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

There’s a missing “not” there, yes. Fixing right now. FVbico (talk) ([MoJIRA]) 05:05, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Snowy Leaves on Bedrock Edition[]

SnowyTrees on Bedrock

The Bedrock version states that the leaf blocks are not colored, but I couldn't find them. Where can I find it? Pneuma01 (talk) 10:22, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

I never saw a state, but they become white when it is snowing. FVbico (talk) 11:55, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
Ah, in snowing! I confirmed. Thank you. Pneuma01 (talk) 15:00, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

Leaves Texture in Bedrock Edition[]

While I was playing Bedrock Edition, I found if you place 6 blocks, each touching one side of a leaf block, it seems to show a compacted texture. Can somebody confirm this? Thank you in advance. —98.230.115.82 13:56, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

This probably has to do with the rendering engine, not the block itself. The BlobsPaper 03:27, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

Oak and Dark Oak Leaves have the same texture?[]

Don't Oak and Dark Oak Leaves have the same texture in Java Edition? can someone confirm and write in Trivia?–Preceding unsigned comment was added by Deathcounter (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Oak nad Dark Oak leaves use pretty simillar textures - but still different. Oakar567 (talk) 18:35, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
They USED to be the same, they aren't since the texture update. FVbico (talk) 18:41, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

Azalea Leaves[]

Should we add the fact that Azalea Leaves will be added in Caves and Cliffs to the version history, or do We have to wait until they're in a snapshot? MineStone (talk) 21:09, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

New features must be in a development version. --Dlljs (talk) 21:11, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Jungle leaves drop oak saplings and apples[]

I just broke maybe a thousand jungle leaves. I received one jungle sapling, but twenty-one oak saplings and even one apple.

This could be a bug or it could be by design. The drop rate is low (as always for jungle tree canopies), but getting the vast majority to be oak products doesn't seem right.

I tried to change the tables, but I don't have the expertise. Can someone please fix the table to show that jungle leaves can (and probably will) drop oak saplings and apples.

Thanks! SirDaddicus (talk) 18:44, 26 December 2020 (UTC)

Doubt this is true, not all leaves in jungle biomes are jungle leaves, all leaves on the ground, and several actual trees are oak, not jungle. Additionally, the loot tables are clear, there's no apple or oak sapling option for jungle leaves. Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 19:19, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
I stripped several trees from the ground to as high as I could reach. But, most of them were closer to the ground.
When you say "the loot tables", what do you mean? In the code? SirDaddicus (talk) 22:55, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
It is an internal data structure used to determine the drops of entities, blocks, and other objects. 00001H (talk) 08:30, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

Cherry Leaves[]

The texture of the Sprite of the Cherry Leaves does not seem to be the latest. By the way, the Copper Horn is also. And the Sprite of Torchflower Seeds, certain Pottery Shard and Smithing Template looks a bit fuzzy. Fengjingzi (talk) 14:56, 9 April 2023 (UTC)

I just solved this problem. Fengjingzi (talk) 03:34, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
