User templates[]

I notice that you have a user template called Template:Tablebox. Since it is a user template, I would recommend that you move it to User:HelenAngel/Tablebox.

Contrapple, this user is inactive. I doubt they will respond any time soon. — NickTheRed37 t/c (f.k.a. Naista2002) 13:52, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Actually, I'm NOT inactive. Will look up on how to move it. Thanks for letting me know. :) --HelenAngel (talk) 01:55, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Pages and templates can be easily moved using the tab from the top of the screen, though the template was already moved to User:HelenAngel/Tablebox by me. KnightMiner t/c 03:57, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Can you vouch[]

Hi Helen! I was wondering: would you be willing to vouch on twitter or on some other social media that this is your wiki account? My ulterior motive is that I have a question pertaining to features on different devices and editions, and very likely you would be in a position to know, but first I'd like to be reasonably sure this account isn't an bizarre elaborate hoax of some kind. No problem either way! – Sealbudsman talk/contr 21:56, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

I'm guessing I must have missed this somehow because I rarely look at my own page. Would be happy to verify- just let me know. Also you can always email me. --HelenAngel (talk) 02:03, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Ok! So would you be able to get somebody like Jeb, ProfMobius or RazzleberryFox -- basically someone with a known wiki account here -- to reply here and vouch for who you are? Or alternately could somebody who's on twitter (see Help:Official_sources#Twitter) tweet it? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 03:22, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
Sure! No problem at all. :) Marc Watson's tweet for verification: https://twitter.com/Marc_IRL/status/795743542857469952

Shulker shells[]

You have noted that shulker shells will be added at some point. Because of this, I assume you have a source. Can you add shulker shells to Pocket Edition mentioned features? The BlobsPaper 02:16, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Yes, my source is that I am on the Minecraft team. I can indeed add it. --HelenAngel (talk) 22:25, 7 December 2016 (UTC)

Tall biomes (PE)[]

In 1.0, the height limit was increased to 256 blocks. Previously, biomes that exceeded 128 blocks were shrunk. Were they brought to normal in 1.0? The BlobsPaper 00:25, 22 December 2016 (UTC)

Yes, all the biomes should be back to normal. However, chunk generation still applies so if you generated the chunk before the update, it will stay the way it is. --HelenAngel (talk) 01:37, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

In regards to PE on Windows Phone[]

Having a little scuffle on the 1.0 talk right now; can you confirm if either PE for Windows Phone 8.1 is discontinued or if the update is trying to get through certification? Thanks! -BDJP (t|c) 02:11, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Absolutely. Will pop on there now. :) --HelenAngel (talk) 01:06, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

Ore[]

It seems that in Pocket Edition, ores are more common than they once were. Is this correct? If so, what version increased the amount of ore? The BlobsPaper 15:51, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

I'm not sure- I didn't think we changed the amount or distribution of ore. I'll check with the devs. --HelenAngel (talk) 21:16, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
Ok, I checked with our devs and there weren't any changes made to ore distribution or ore generation. Maybe you just were lucky? :) --HelenAngel (talk) 23:35, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

A possibly fake PE build?[]

Hello. We'll need you again for this minor thing. Can you confirm that a build for Pocket Edition 1.0.3 does indeed exist (there is a page already up, yet there is no mention of the build on the feedback website or on the bug tracker)? Thanks. -BDJP (t|c) 00:42, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

It does indeed exist. It's labeled as a beta build on both Google Play and in-game. A quick glance at the disassembly code reveals no obvious new blocks, items, or entities, and the features that were added mostly relate to servers/realms. My guess is that it's mostly a beta for new multiplayer features, which also happens to include a few bug fixes. Edit: You may want to relook at the bug tracker, because it's listed as a version.Jocopa3 (talk) 20:00, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
Yes, this is my bad because I have been really ill and haven't been able to get the changelog until now. Am going to go over it and add anything that isn't there. --HelenAngel (talk) 21:15, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

Colored blocks[]

Looking at the reference for the falling block, the "soaked" form looks very similar to the other colored block. Can you confirm that they are the same? The BlobsPaper 18:47, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

Hrm... let me check on this. --HelenAngel (talk) 21:15, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
We can't confirm anything at this time as it's still in development. --HelenAngel (talk) 23:37, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

1.0.6[]

ItsPlantseed created Pocket Edition 1.0.6, even though 1.0.5 has not been released yet. Is this a mistake, or is it correct? The BlobsPaper 03:41, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

It's real, even though 1.0.5 hasn't been released. Most of the people in Reddit says that the 1.0.5.13 supposedly to be the final release. - ItsPlantseed ItsPlantseed | Book and Quill 04:27, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
I can confirm this is correct, as I have downloaded the 1.0.6 beta. However, my question is if 1.0.6 beta is just a continuation of the 1.0.5 beta, seeing as the last 1.0.5 beta build was "released" by accident. Jocopa3 (talk) 04:29, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
No, the 1.0.6 beta is for 1.0.6 which will be released when we get these bugs fixed. --HelenAngel (talk) 21:36, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Fixes in changelogs[]

Hi, many thanks for helping to move over and copy all of the changelogs from Pocket Edition builds into the wiki. These builds have a huge "Fixes" section, however I am hesitant in moving any of these to the main version page as I'm not sure which of these relate to previous builds or previous main versions. It would be grateful if there is a way to clarify this, or if in future changelogs perhaps the fixes section could be split into two sections - affecting previous builds and affecting main versions. We already mark this on our changelogs internally so when we post the full 1.1 changelog we know which changes to include & not include (as changes that only affect beta builds would not be in the release 1.1 changelog). How would you like me to separate them? Happy to do it. :) --HelenAngel (talk) 17:47, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
We could use markings similar to the ones in {{fixes}}. The BlobsPaper 21:54, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
Many thanks for the response. In the development build changelogs that you release, it could be as simple as splitting the fixes section into two parts - from previous development versions and from released versions before 1.1. GoandgooTalk

Sounds good! Will do and forgive me if I don't get it right the first time- I'll definitely get it right the next time. --HelenAngel (talk) 18:11, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Anonymous changes to Pocket Edition entity components[]

An anonymous user went to a great deal of trouble to update this page for 1.1.1.0. I was about to revert it, but decided that just in case it was one of your group who didn't have an account I'd better leave that to you. If you decide to retain the edit, please note that it starts with a level 1 header. The style guide explicitly prohibits these. – Auldrick (talk · contribs) 16:05, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. The person should have logged in if they were from our team though I'll check it out & fix the formatting. --HelenAngel (talk) 00:06, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

Education Edition commands[]

The Commands page doesn't have much information about command availability in Education Edition. Could you please find out? If you like, just summarize it here and I'll update the table. Thanks!--– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 14:46, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

EDIT- Okay, I edited the page with the commands that were already there and gave a status to EE. These commands are in EE specifically:
Ability (worldbuilder, mute, mayfly)
Classroommode
Clearfixedinv
Code
Gamerule (allowdestructiveobjects, allowmobs, globalmute)
Immutable world
Position
Setfixedinvslot
Wb
worldbuilder

Pocket Edition crafting[]

At one point, the Pocket Edition 1.2 page said that the MATTIS crafting system will be replaced with the system used in the Java Edition. Is this correct? The BlobsPaper 21:10, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Relevant tweet. --Pepijn (talk) 22:12, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
You have the option to use both. --HelenAngel (talk) 01:34, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

Glass elevators[]

On June 15, redditor Osman1105 asked you if several things were going to be included in the BTU. One of those things was 3x3 glass elevators. Your answer to that was "3x3 glass elevators should work now". I take that to mean you thought they already worked, but they don't and never have and I think Osman assumed you meant they were being added in 1.2. He posted it on Reddit and somebody picked it up from there and added it to Pocket Edition 1.2. Since then the latter page has been edited and the original citation deleted, but I tracked it down. Now on the bug tracker we have MCPE-26237 citing the wiki as an authority that claims it should work. The 1.2 changelog says "Items will now be pushed when a transparent block is placed over them", but it's not clear whether that means "pushed upward" or something else. What actually happens is that the items will be pushed up if there is air above the glass, but if there's just more glass they continually bounce up and down within the bottom glass block; if that's by design then glass item elevators will not work, which breaks old console worlds. Could you check what the actual intent is with this so I can fix the wiki page if necessary? Thanks! --– Auldrick (talk · contribs) 23:25, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

Bouncing up and down on the bottom glass block is not by design- that's definitely a bug. We didn't say pushed up because if there's room on the side, ofc it will go there. It should go to the first available space where it can exist whether up or sideways. So we believed we fixed it and that glass elevators should work but it looks like we didn't and it's still a bug? --HelenAngel (talk) 21:02, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

Education Edition Chemistry Update[]

How much do you know about the background and future plans for the Chemistry Update, out of curiosity? Is more content in this vein planned for the future? Is there a chance we could be seeing some or all of this coming to Java Edition at some point? For the elements specifically, do you know how an announcement of successful synthesis of elements 119, 120, or 121 would be handled? How about recommendations for correcting the categorization of certain elements (for example, theoretical work suggests that Tennessine and Oganesson are both actually metals, not a halogen and a noble gas, respectively)? Are there plans to add more isotopes or nuclear isomers? (Sorry for all the questions!) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:35, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
