Now, Minecraft Bedrock version 1.18.2 has been out on Google Play and iOS for some time now. However, while the Amazon App Store on my Samsung phone does say that 1.18.2 is available (specifically, 1.18.2.03), it will not let me update (a full reinstall still installs 1.17.41.01). From my understanding, this is because the new version has been submitted, but has not fully approved by Amazon.

That said, since the version isn't technically available, should we really have the wiki advertise that 1.18 is available (despite what Amazon says)?

Or is my phone simply being wonky, and everyone else can update on their Fire tablets?

As someone who currently has 1.18.2 on a Fire tablet, I can confirm that your phone does indeed suck :P – JEC talk @ 17:59, 5 January 2022 (UTC)

Hmm. I even completly uninstalled both Minecraft and the Amazon App Store from my phone, and it still insists on downloading 1.17. Considering that this is a Samsung Galaxy S8 running Android 9, there shouldn't be any incompatibilities...very bizarre.
Anyway, sorry to bother you all. Thanks for your help.

"Preview 1.18.30.21" should be under Bedrock > Development Versions > Windows alongside "beta 1.18.30.20" just like it is under Bedrock > Development Versions > Xbox.
