- Welcome!
- This page shows development versions, which are pre-releases and snapshots, and 1.8.3 – 1.8.6 haven't had any of those. So instead of having empty headers 1.8.3 – 1.8.6 here, we just don't have those headers here. Good eye, though.
- Looks like you're doing fine with talk pages, only thing is if you click the "add topic" button instead, it lets you add a topic title – which I just put in for you real quick, so it's all set.

Redlinks?[]
Minor issue, but for some reason the 16w05a link shows as a redlink for me [at the time of posting] but the page with the exact name does exist - I have cleared my cache and it still appears. Just wanted to let you know 72.214.181.74 23:12, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
- This is most likely because this wiki just upgraded to MediaWiki 1.26, along with the other Gamepedias. There's still some bugs here and there, but the staff at Gamepedia are doing their best to correct the issues. -BDJP (t|c) 23:19, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Add summary to update info.[]
At the moment, updates just say
1.11, the first release of the Exploration Update, is a major update to Minecraft, released on November 14, 2016.
Which is really boring. Why can't we go back to 1.8, where it said
1.8, the first release of the Bountiful Update, added and changed many aspects of Minecraft. Amongst many things, the update made it easier for map makers to create adventure maps, it added many blocks, mobs and a structure for survival play, many commands were added or extended, the world boundary was enforced dynamically, many survival mechanics were changed, spectator mode was added, increased performance significantly and added many options for world customization.
I think that the latter is much better, so you dont have to scroll through the whole list to get the features. A summary would be nice. Thoughts?

Reorder sections[]
At the moment we have (in order) General, Gameplay, Commands, Command format, World generation, Blocks, Items, Mobs; which I dont think looks very nice. You have to scroll far down to get the new features, and at the top it starts with Splashes, then goes to, Options, etc. I propose we put Blocks, Items, Mobs, and World generation to the top, so you can get the list of new features quickly without having to scroll far down. — Nixinova (talk • edits • pages) In 1.8, you have to scroll down a quarter of the page before you get 'interesting' features — Nixinova (talk • edits • pages) 04:38, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

- Yeah, and how about those 2018 Red Sox? No, seriously, what exactly are you trying to say? I'm certainly no expert on Java's update cycle, but the only references to a week number in the article say that WW in snapshot names represents the week number in the year. - I think if there are real YYw53a snapshot, then in the article's trivia will say:
"This is the first snapshot that breaks the naming convention set by every other snapshot since 13w12~ which doesn't include a letter at the end of it, as the 53rd week of the common year is the 365th day of the common year (December 31). The only joke April Fool snapshot that does this is 20w14∞, which it appears as 20w14~ in game. Therefore, this is the second real snapshot that uses a ~ instead of a letter."

Inconsistent titles for Pre-Releases[]
Some pre-release pages in their titles use "Pre-release" while others use "Pre-Release". 1.14 Pre-Release 1 through 1.14.4 Pre-Release 7, 1.15 Pre-Release 2, and 1.15.2 Pre-Release 1 use capitalized "Release". All before 1.14 Pre-Release 1 use 1.#-pre#, and the rest use "Pre-release". Nearly all minecraft.net pages I checked said "Pre-Release", except 1.13 pre-releases, which uses "pre-release". - CrowdingFaun624 (talk) 21:22, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

- The pages appear to have been deleted by SLSbot.
