Commands?[]

Can commands be used to increase durability higher than level III? If so, does it apply following the same formula or is there a cap? --Runamucker (talk) 19:55, 18 July 2019 (UTC)

Shears[]

The Shears page says, that they can be enchanted with Unbreaking, yet there's no entry in the durability table here. Does someone have the means to find these durability values? --Sheepscalibur (talk) 08:13, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

What are the other names for this enchant?[]

Various "Alternate-English" language packs exist in Java, such as 'Pirate Speak' and 'Shakespearian which change the name of many things such as all the enchantments, what is this one called when it's in those alternate versions of English? --MrOscarGreen (talk) 02:57, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Anything the pack designer wants. That information isn't relevant for inclusion in this article, however. You'll have to install some of those packs and see for yourself. Amatulic (talk) 19:32, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
Those languages are joke languages and completely made up by the community, as such they're not documented on the wiki. Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 19:44, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Unbreaking durability decrease when durability is reduced by multiple points[]

"When durability is reduced by multiple points, as when hooking a mob with fishing rods or getting blown up with TNT, Unbreaking is applied for each point of reduction."

So if you hook a mob with a fishing rod enchanted with Unbreaking I, the fishing rod has a 50% chance to lose 4 or 5 durability? 99.225.26.102 23:08, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

No, it means the average durability loss would be about 2.5 for each time you hook a mob. It's 50% chance per durability point and there are 5 points that can be lost. Each point has a 50% chance of being lost, so the average over all 5 points is 2.5. Amatulic (talk) 03:27, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

Obtaining Unbreaking III[]

The Obtaining section specifies I and II, but it is possible to get III from an enchanting table (at least on a book) as well. I wouldn't doubt it can be obtained through other methods (excluding anvil combining), but I don't have recent experience to say that. Not sure if there's a specific reason for this?
