Someone erased most of the previous instructions on how to get to the far lands and substituted non-working ways. You cannot use vanilla commands to get to the far lands because commands hadn't been added yet. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by WildBluntHickok (talkcontribs) at 4:41, 17 January 2015 (UTC). But you can port the world with Far Lands into modern versions and use the commands there. Nick the Red37 — ru.wiki moderator (talk) 07:05, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
That still requires getting to the Far Lands in a pre-beta 1.8 version in order to generate them. If you haven't already been there in an old version, a modern version will generate normal chunks instead of Far Lands terrain, so that isn't really a solution. -- Orthotopetalk 07:56, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
The reason I removed mention of SinglePlayerCommands was because of all the commands were listing a in game alternative, and the tutorials should not cover mods (ex. why discuss how to mine diamonds when a mod can give you unlimited instantly?)
Also, wasn't it true that server commands could be used back then? According to Commands#History, /tp was introduced back in alpha. So "Commands were not added yet" should be "Commands were only available in multiplayer" KnightMiner (t·c) 16:43, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

Anon wiki reader here. I'm wondering why there aren't any mentions of kurtjmac and his Far Lands or Bust series/world record on this page, as he is commonly associated with the Far Lands. 73.45.18.181 20:42, 2 May 2019 (UTC)anonymous reader
