Page needs clearer definitions[]

What is a 'dedicated type server' and what is a `server-grade server`? Additionally, what makes these different from a `LAN party type server`? And why are the requirements for dedicated and server-grade on separate pages while LAN servers are on this page?

A minecraft server is a minecraft server. There are some differences in setting up your network if you plan to open it up to your WAN, but otherwise a server is a server is a server.

If these three separate server types are alluding to different types of *configurations* (i.e. specific settings in the config file), then the page needs to specify such. As is, the terminology and separate pages is just confusing.

Possible confusion between multithreading and multiprocessing[]

"The situation with third-party software is that while additional work (from plugins) do use additional cores, the core world mechanics (ticking, etc.) largely remain the same. Attempts to make the core mechanics multithreaded include Akarin, but do be warned this is very complex work and things get buggy very easily."

Multithreading (for Akarin) means splitting work amongst threads, while multiprocessing (for plugins) is splitting work amongst cores. Faber451 (talk) 04:29, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
