Should both L's be capitalized? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapis_lazuli - Jimbo

This wiki in general is really weird about capitalization. Often words like 'torch' are capitalized because they are blocks. I'd be more comfortable with a non-capitalized article, but that always leads to silly edit wars. JohnnyMadhouse 18:25, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

[[Lapis Lazuli (Dye)]]'s data value same as Ink Sac's[]

At first I thought it's just an error in the game but after looking at Ink Sac's page I'm sure the one putting the code in [[Lapis Lazuli (Dye)]]'s page put wrong one. Rautamiekka 08:46, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Edit: I thought I specified Ink Sac instead of Coal. Oh well.

This is not an error; all dyes have the same item ID, and differ only by data value. -- Orthotope 21:14, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
And it seems no one has added the damage values to the infobox, even though the {{dv}} template has supported damage values for a few months now.  Doneultradude25 (T|C) at 22:42, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

History of (real) Lapis![]

In real life, Lapis is a real dye/mateirial(duh). It has psuedo-important historical value. In Buddha, there was an evil-turned-eventually-good prince. He was called the Crystal Prince because (suprise, suprise) he had a piece of Lapis embeded in his forehead.I hope the admins don`t remove this because this is a very related and slightly important thing about Lapis.166.127.1.225 17:16, 22 May 2012 (UTC)psycodragons

They probably won't remove it from the talk page, but it is not really appropriate either here or on the article. This is a place to discuss the Minecraft Lapis block and the process of editing the Lapis page, not a place to discuss history. Verhalthur (talk)(contribs) 17:19, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

Name[]

The infobox lists the entity name as lapis_lazuli, but if you try to create Lapis Lazuli using the /give command with that name, Minecraft says there is no such item. Is there an alternate name? 72.129.92.207 05:33, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

All dyes use the name "dye" and a damage value. MattTalk

Hey what is the code for lapis lazuli or something or other --155.143.229.164 23:51, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

How do you break Lapis Lazuli Blocks back into individual gems? Terronscibe (talk) 11:14, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Why are we still using the old texture? Pretty sure most of the other textures are updated.[]

Here's the new version if someone wants to add it, I can't. https://web.archive.org/web/20230514114116/https://imgur.com/jtfUXw9
