Changes: Minecraft Earth:Moobloom

The Moobloom is a buttercup-covered variant of the mooshroom found only in Minecraft Earth. It is a rare drop of cow tappables. Mooblooms are like mooshrooms except yellow and sprout buttercups instead of mushrooms.

Appearance

The moobloom is a buttercup-covered variant of the normal cow. Its body is yellow with big white spots scattered throughout its body and head. It has two big black eyes, just like a mooshroom, it has 4 buttercups with 3 on its back, and one on its head, it has a white muzzle, and a dark grey snout, and gray horns.

Obtaining

Mooblooms are a rare mob drop obtainable from cow tappables with a very low 0.6% chance of getting it, making it the rarest cow variant to obtain in Minecraft Earth. Its previous chances of obtaining were 0.2% and 0.4% prior to it being changed in newer updates. It can also be obtained by purchasing the "Roadside Inn" buildplate.

Behavior

Mooblooms leave a trail of yellow flowers as they walk, with each flower they plant having an 80% chance of being a dandelion, or a 20% chance of being a sunflower. Otherwise, mooblooms mostly have the same AI behavior as mooshrooms and cows. They wander aimlessly, mooing and huffing constantly, avoiding lava and cliffs high enough to cause fall damage.

Drops

A Moobloom can be sheared for 1 Buttercup

Just like a normal cow, the moobloom drops the following when killed:

• 0–2 Leather
• 1–3 Raw Beef (Cooked Beef if killed while on fire)

History

On September 27, 2020, it was announced that a mob vote will take place during Minecraft Live 2020 on October 3 at 12 PM Eastern - the Moobloom was one of three mobs on the vote, and was the winner. They will spawned in flower forests and interact with bees in some way.

Trivia

• The chances of obtaining the moobloom was changed along with many other mobs, with its previous 0.4% chance of being obtained changed to 0.2%, making it significantly harder to get, then changed again to 0.5% chance, then 0.6%.
• The moobloom was one of the first exclusive Minecraft Earth mob variants.
• It was included in the Minecraft Live 2020 mob vote, being the winner and leaving the Iceologer and the Glow Squid in the dust
• The biome category of the journal reveals that mooblooms spawn in plains, as opposed to the flower forest.
