This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Bedrock Edition 0.8.x releases, which assumes at least some familiarity with 0.7.x releases.

Bone Meal		Synchronized with Java Edition. Can grow Tall Grass and Fern in Survival and Creative modes. Can make sugar cane grow to maximum height. Pumpkin and Watermelon stems only grow one stage when using bone meal. Additional flowers will grow when bone meal is used on flower.
Bow		New rendering and dynamic items.
Lava Bucket		Can now be used to smelt items (100) in the furnace.
Flint		Added to creative mode inventory.
Shears		Added to creative mode inventory.
Sign		Improved sync lag in Multiplayer.
Charcoal		Textures changed to Java Edition 1.6.1 textures.
