Great Fast Support

I just switched to ScalaHosting from another host I was with for 20+ years when things started going downhill. So far ScalaHosting has been great, extremely responsive to my support chat requests, and have been very speedy in migrating my sites and emails over. The people there have been very kind and knowledgeable so I am very happy with my choice so far. It's only been a few days but i expect this to be the norm.

Spanel by ScalaHosting

Honestly, i can't speak for the hosting as I've never used it, but I use their panel, managed, and what I thought was a temporary thing, actually saved me too much time to go back to the no managed kind of panel.
If you want to focus more on what matters, it's a no brainer.

Unrivaled support for small businesses.

I've been using sPanel (a ScalaHosting product) for almost a year now as the primary admin panel for my server. It's been a godsend as a small business owner, because their support has been absolutely stellar. Day or night, 24/7, if an issue arises that has me stumped, I can have a chat open in 20 seconds and have some really knowledgeable people assisting me in real time. The support alone is the reason I migrated from Plex and cPanel, and I have had no regrets. Special shoutout to Dimitir for assisting me with an .htaccess bug.

The entire experience was fast and easy

The entire experience was fast and easy. My rep was knowledgeable and serviced me in record time. Usually situations like this I go in already nervous things won't go well...but not this time. He was also highly respectful and fun to work with. Definitely a guy other reps can learn from.

Professionalism Matters

The agent listened to my concerns and was quite patient. His knowledge allowed him to quickly diagnose the problem and provide a solution. I have been in IT for over forty years and even spent some time as second tier helpdesk support. The agent's attitude an service supports by decision to use ScalaHosting.

Beyond excellent technical support

I've been with Scalahosting for two years on a VPS plan. In the past, I've also used Rackspace, Liquid Web, AWS, a few GoDaddy subsidiaries, and perhaps 10 other cPanel-type hosting companies. Scala aren't the cheapest hosts by any means, and it's a crowded marketplace, but their tech support is, in my experience, in a league of its own - better than anything I've experienced elsewhere. Fast, polite, and always to be point. Issues are often resolved in a few minutes - not the hours or days you have to wait for elsewhere. It's worth paying extra for this quality of support.

There are a few small niggles. sPanel (the proprietary replacement for cPanel) is a little "bare bones" and is clearly a work in progress. If you're used to cPanel's "polish", you might find spanel a little minimal; on the other hand, spanel is very much less bloated and doubtless less of a system load.

All told, excellent hosting. Thank you.

Saved a Deleted Account

A client had disappeared and we were unable to contact. We cleaned up the server and deleted the account which, of course, had the client contacting us wondering where his website and email had gone to. Thanks to Dimitar and Scala for coming to the rescue and restoring!

It was solved in seconds & to the point!

It was incredibly quick & to the point. They restarted my site immediately and let me know what they had to do. I asked if I could do it on my end and they confirmed it can only be done on Scalahosting's end. Great immediate confirmation! The Agent I was speaking to was Dimitar! Nice person :)

In addition, I spoke to another Agent hours later, George B. who was extremely transparent with the terms of service, compensation & amends with the uptime guarantee. No biasness, straight to the point, and was reassuring that if I were to be compensated, it doesn't mean a cancellation or withdrawal from Scalahosting. I still get the entirety of my services.
