The Villa police chief was head of the police and security team in the Sierra Madre villa.

Background[]

The chief worked for Sinclair, charged with enforcing his edicts, which he passed down to the chief. One such issue was a list of prohibited items, which the chief communicated to Sinclair that it would be difficult to enforce. Sinclair informed him that they would soon be implementing an automated system that would confiscate items even the slightest bit radioactive or foreign and ship them back to the visitor's source address.

When the chief inquired about the construction crew working on finishing the villa, Sinclair was dismissive, stating that all he cared about was that there would be no more accidents among the crew. [1] The chief added that at least Sinclair didn't see his flask when he walked in, wanting to avoid the owner's disapproving look.[2]

Once the automated machines arrived, they caused a significant number of issues among the security and construction employees, who complained to the chief that although they received a few casino chips with their paychecks, they could barely buy anything.[3] Although Sinclair described them as the means for self-sufficiency for the casino, the chief fielded the complaints from the employees that they were a means to ensure that any money spent at the casino would line Sinclair's pockets,[4] especially with the ban on all other vending machines.[5][6] The chief responded that he was not sure the chips were Sinclair's idea, only if the employees had any problems with the machines, to let him know immediately. Dean Domino also mentions his dislike for the chief, due to them being a "real stickler for policy."[7]

Appearances[]

The Villa police chief is mentioned only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Dead Money.

    The Courier: "Grifters?"
Dean Domino: "Sinclair made sure if you spent money here, it went one direction - although that's not how he described it."
The Courier: "How did he describe it?"
Dean Domino: "Called it "self-sufficient." Like he was doing the residents a favor. Right."

It's automated to move things as the builder saw fit, Sinclair - even the guests. It's what divided your team, me, assigned us to "our floors." No contraband, nothing foreign in his paradise - even common Pre-War vending machines were banned from the Villa."
