Interactive map[]
First I need to see a demonstration of your skills, preferable a map on the Horizon wiki then or similar. What I noticed you don't have any edits over there so at the moment you can understand I have doubts. Jspoel

- I've taken a gander at the feature, and if we should use it, it needs a certain standard. Just adding many pins on an empty, bland map doesn't meet the quality standards. I've added the Commonwealth map here, in dark green, with the map markers. I've added a few pins, and these pins must be categorized (done that). You can find the categories on Fallout 4 map page. I'm willing to grant you rights, but you must use this map and change the colors of each category to make them distinguishable. If you accept, I'll grant you temporary rights, which may extend if your work is good. I'll keep an eye on things. Jspoel 16:03, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thats a very smart solution using the preset of FO4 BUT this map is missing the DLC (addon) POI (map marker). Isnt there a more up to date version? i have used this map in past, i was under the impression not all map markers are on that map. Qrsr (talk) 16:10, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- No, not all map markers are on it. Among others, Nuka-World transit center, The Institute (location) and Nakano residence, probably more are missing. You can add at least those 3 using the map markers on the pages and add them to the map if you want. Re-uploading the updated map should leave the pins already placed intact. - Thx! Addendum: Uploading an updated image is not a problem if scaling is equal. Its not a problem either to write code for the offset, in case the map is a bit out of space. Note: fandom is implementing image support in the next release(es), thus i might be worth to keep that in mind and use a blanked page. Which then would include the appropiate POI as image. Unmarked locations[]
I believe we can integrate unmarked locations into a special (standalone) page. Since these are not part of vanilla FO4. The map itself is overgrown with marked locations already +300. Even more will affect performance (load, stuttering) of the map on various browsers. Since fandom currently doesn't offer any option to hide "filters" we should think about splitting marked/unmarked locations.Qrsr (talk) 04:20, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
Settlement[]
The designation settlement in the top of the infobox depends on what is given as type. If that is "settlement", the infobox's header is <game> settlement. It doesn't matter if it's a Fallout 4 settlements or not. It already stems from Fallout 3. If the page is an official Fallout 4 settlement, it doesn't always says in the header it's a settlement, for the same reason mentioned as before; it is not "settlement" as the type. I changed the Institute pages again btw, they're sections, part of a building, not unmarked. I know it reads unmarked, that should be changed yeah. Jspoel 14:50, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- the data/text is automatically generated via the
{{infobox location}}, you can easily change the template for it. as of now the type you set overrides the icon and sets the headline. In the case of the pages you showed, it make one or the other incorrect. One the exact fix is determined, and the template updated, there may be quite a few pages to update to reflect these changes. Magazines[]
The Commonwealth map already has so many markers, best to create a new map for the magazines with some reference map markers. Not sure what you want with Nuka-World and The Island, if you have unmarked locations for them, you can add those. Jspoel 15:31, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

- I decided to go for seperate maps, since 100+ locations already create lag on fandom. Since fandom doesnt allow to "hide" filters when a map is transcluded, it would become an location overkill quite fast.
