My Kind of Town[]

After completing My Kind of Town the casino should be up and running again after three days. I went in to do a little gambling, and chose to exchange caps for casino chips. I exchanged 1000 caps and got 1000 chips, played for a while, then went to trade my chips in for cash. I got my money, but the teller never took the chips. After less than an hour working up caps and chips I ended up with 100k chips, and 5 million in each of the three currencies before leaving. Oh, and the Little Wheel challenge never grayed out, so for every 10 games on the roulette wheel, win or lose, I was earning 100xp. Not the fastest level-up method, but if you only need one or two hundred to level its perfectly fine.

Opening the Casino[]

I think we need to change where a piece of information in this article appears. Currently the information about how to open the casino for business is under the Gambling section. It could be in a worse spot I suppose, but all other information in the Gambling section is devoted to the games the casino offers.

I think this information would be better off in a section of its own, or it could be put in the introductory paragraphs. Thoughts?

Just to clarify, the casino WILL open if you use violence (Kill) Layla and her gang. You just have to wait about 7 days and it will open. The only difference is, if you kill them the items in the casino will remain marked as owned, preventing you from looting it without karma loss. ReapTheChaos 19:29, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Protective of the car?[]

This was before I rescued Beagle. I jumped on the death car, as I naturally just try to find ways up and down things, it really helps to get to a few choice paths and sniping positions on the rocks on the wasteland. Inexplicably, the people in the casino turned hostile and started shooting at me. I hadn't stolen anything, the only thing I did was get up on top of the car. What gives? --68.54.223.17 07:15, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm i guess because its a museum and since it is i guess your not supposed to touch the merchandise.

That stupid glitch[]

My sister plays this game and she has that glitch where the woman who you trade caps into gives you caps and doesn't take chips. she kept on trading in caps for chips in this cycle so now she gets 35 million caps everytime she goes through a dialog tree. She now has 1.8 billion caps! Does anyone else have this glitch? Power Bonkers 22:30, April 24, 2011 (UTC)

Oh it was the first topic. My bad.

Several playthroughs, all possibilities. The casino never opens. What's the deal? :(

No Gamblers?[]

I've dealt with the deserters, and the casino did open up for business. Oddly, there were only employees, no visitors around. Is this normal? Katamariguy (talk) 06:03, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

9mm SMG as notable loot?[]

I'd argue that the 9mm SMG shouldn't be listed here regardless of how good it may be to have starting out. The usefulness is limited to those who are investing in a skill related to guns as opposed to say energy weapons, it's usefulness is just a matter of opinion. The notable loot policy only allows for items that fall into one of these categories: Uniqueness or rarity, High monetary value, Used in repeatable quests and found in substantial amounts, Oversized or undersized variants of otherwise non-notable items, Notably high amounts of otherwise non-notable items, or Holodisks and notes. Whether or not it is one of the better weapons at a lower level doesn't matter. Additionally, if we're going by the logic of it being useful (which qualifies a great deal more items as notable loot) it is available earlier at Doctor Mitchell's house, so mentioning it here isn't necessary and violates the standing notable loot policy. Yeah, the 9mm SMG is pretty common and low-end honestly. I concur with Rich. Enclavesymbol 00:27, January 10, 2014 (UTC)
I don't. It's one of the best Guns skill weapon in the very beginning of the game and the one in Goodsprings can be repaired with the one in the VV Vance casino, so then you would have an even better weapon. A while back we talked about it in a forum and decided we would make an exception and include more notable items in the beginning of the game, like similar with the skill magazines. Those are all listed on the Goodsprings page. They're notable because they are of notable value at the start. They soon lose their notable value (Nipton), but for Primm it's notable.
