Water purifiers[]

Can anyone provide a screenshot of the 3 Industrial Water Purifiers placed in Starlight's lone puddle?

Yes. Figured I should share because I am having difficulty admitting how long I spent on that. Please note that the second image is not facing the same way - I've moved around the pool about 90 degrees clockwise (so the screen would be to the left of that shot). If you want to line it up above, I suggest you pick out some distinguishing features in the terrain and line it up like that.

Crafting Bug[]

I can no longer craft anything at this settlement. I can use things that were built at other settlements, but I can't for example, build a water purifier from scratch even if I have the resources to do it. I think this happened around the time I created a robot workbench. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix it? I'm on PC --Zach9054 (talk) 19:44, May 20, 2016 (UTC)

Scenario Error by game creators (suggested entry under Notes)[]

  • Observing the multiple parked cars, Cosworth comments that there must have been a film showing when the bombs fell. The bombs fell during daylight, when films cannot be shown at drive in cinemas.

Radioactive pool[]

While the water in the crater pool is mildly radioactive, like most outdoor bodies of water in the game, doesn't the radiation poisoning of settlers and livestock only occur while the radioactive barrels are still present? As the article is written currently, it seems to state that this effect is caused by the pool rather than by the barrels in the pool. My experience tells me that this is incorrect, that once you remove the barrels, your population won't suffer ill effects from wandering to close to the pool. However, I haven't made a serious effort to observe this, so I could be wrong. Ultimate Frog-Man (talk) 16:47, September 28, 2018 (UTC)

I'll perform some highly unethical experiments on settlers to see what happens.

I have a feeling this won't be a first for you. Ultimate Frog-Man (talk) 16:55, September 28, 2018 (UTC)
The less you know the better 😈
Anyway, with the radioactive barrels the test subject's radiation level increased until it reached a 1000, at which point he went down but did not die. If he were to receive any sort of damage at this point, he would die permanently. Otherwise, his rads will be decreased to 850 after some time and he will get up again.
Without radioactive barrels, on the other hand, his radiation level continuously decreased while standing in the water. So while he may be receiving radiation damage from the water, his magical radiation healing counteracts this.
Brahmin, on the other hand, will die if exposed to too much radiation, but their radiation level stays the same while standing in the radioactive water (or outside of it, for that matter).

Infobox heading[]

Starlight Drive In is a settlement. The first note above the {{infobox location}} template reads, its a "Fallout 4 location". It should read: its a "Fallout 4 settlement". Qrsr (talk) 13:02, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
