The Tenpenny Tower note is incorrect, is it not? I believe you can get the suite there without blowing up Megaton, if you get Roy and the the ghouls into the tower, right? Bsdasym 02:41, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

I didn't find a way to do this, though I already have the Megaton House. If you know a way, please explain it. :) --Banz 03:02, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Just wanted to pop in and say that the bed in Megaton, and possibly other places will often give the well rested bonus even for sleeping a single hour, at least on the PS3 version. 75.69.104.65 06:53, May 24, 2010 (UTC)HairBySnowflake

locations[]

the locations section should be deleted !!!

it is part of the Fallout 3 player housing. Nukey Snake - Tommygunner32 - talk 18:23, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Broken?[]

Does anyone else think that gaining full health anytime you sleep makes the game too easy? Seriously, I beat FO3 on Very Hard mode without using stimpaks or purified water at any time, and there were only a few instances when I needed to use dirty water, bloodpacks, or mirelurk meat. Plus, who would pay for a doctor when you could just go home, sleep, and get "well rested" for free?

Waiting on console versions[]

Is it even possible? I cannot seem to find the option from anywhere within the X Box version of the game, sure beds are still there for HP gain but it's annoying that I cannot wait to avoid unnecessary hostilities.

Of coarse you can wait on xbox. And no stimpaks, doctors or pure water- seriously. Mary roc 18:00, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Settlement objects (Fallout 4)[]

Should the craftable beds be included on here or a separate page? I'm inclined to say separate, although they do tie in here. Sakaratte (talk) 19:16, February 25, 2017 (UTC)

Characteristics[]

Not sleeping for two weeks will cause you to die.

Do you still die if you keep sleep deprivation levels low for 2 weeks with drinks alone? 87.194.105.195 16:35, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
I've got something strange going on in my game. I jumped right in to Hardcore mode when I first started this game. I've been keeping myself going mostly with Atomic cocktails and Coyote tobacco chews. It was working fine, but then I noticed that my SLP gauge is stuck at zero and won't go up. What's stranger is that it doesn't even tell me the number zero. There is no number value displayed, and the arrow in the gauge is simply blank and at the zero position. Has anyone had this happen to them before? Is it a bug? If so, perhaps a bug section should be added to the main article.
NOTE: After posting the above, I decided to try sleeping for an hour. After doing so, the number value on my SLP gauge returned and it started moving up over time like normal. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is a bug. Orra 01:32, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
It's a bug. I also notice that once. Currently I do a one hour rest for twelve hours of activities, with Well Rested timer as a sort of alarm clock. Absolutely no harm done. Imagine one hour rest for twelve of activities? Courier Six is superbeing. It really should be 6 hour rest for 12 hour action. And a rate of 200 slp/12 hours, equal to 16slp/hour.Laclongquan (talk) 14:29, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Hardcore Mode[]

How does sleeping affect HP in hardcore mode? It didn't seem to do anything... DannyShotgun 07:52, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

It's not supposed to heal you or your limbs in hardcore mode, however if you sleep in an owned or rented bed (even for 1 hour) it will heal you fully, including crippled limbs. I don't know if this is a bug or by design. --Jimnms 03:46, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

DEATH?[]

Wouldn't it make more sense if you fell asleep in some random place?.

Actually, this is quite more realistic than most would realise. You would actually die of sleep deprivation than hunger IRL, thus making the fact you die of hunger before sleep inaccurate. XSuperbadX 00:19, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

Is gauge getting stuck at zero actually a bug?[]

I've had it many times, but only after consuming SLP-decreasing stuff like Atomic Coctails, and after some amount of time (fast traveling or simply waiting, once just by game progress) it started going up without my char sleeping. So this made me think this might have been an intended feature — like caffeine stopping your sleep deprivation at all for some time (as this only happened when SLP decrease from consumables was bigger than my SLP level at that time)

Starting DLC add-ons - No Sleep Required![]

Whenever you start a DLC, your sleep counter will be set so that you won't have to sleep for several days. If you sleep once, though, the counter is reset to zero and you will require sleep again. This effect persists even after finishing the DLC, so you may be able to walk the Mojave without sleeping for many days.

Honest Hearts Zion, and Dead Money Sierra Madre are two good places to sleepwalk, as there are no owned bed, thus no benefit to sleep. But Old World Blues Big MT has one free owned bed in the Sink, so you need that beauty sleep for Well Rested. Lonesome Road Divide doesnt seem to have owned bed, but you can revisit Mojave, teleport to Big MT toget rest, then back to action. You get about six hour of Well Rested that way.Laclongquan (talk) 14:38, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Although there aren't many if any beds in the Divide the "Roughin' it! bedroll kit" covers the need for sleep while traversing the Divide. If the "Roughin' it!" perk is taken, sleeping outside on the bedroll kit or near a campfire via the Home on the range perk will also grant a well rested bonus, however it is not advised to take said perk due to its uselessness once level 50 is achieved. On a side note although the bedroll kit can be found and subsequently used multiple times it still doesn't count as an owned bed, therefor it does not heal the player in hardcore mode. ˜˜˜˜˜˜˜PrimalSkater (talk) 00:14, May 30, 2014 (UTC)

Proper sleep cycles?[]

I heard that you need proper sleep cycles, but it's not really explained. Do you need to regularly sleep 8+ hours each day at night?

You mean in game? I always sleep one hour for a period of 12 hour activities in Well Rested state. That's my cycle and I am sticking to itLaclongquan (talk) 14:39, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
