Picture[]

I like that picture. =) --MadDawg2552 21:41, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

its the caption that puts it over the top ;) --AshRandom 22:31, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
But the red cap seals the deal.

OMG love this picture, good job, i am new so don't tease but were is the red hat i want it?--Deathclaw Killer 06:35, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

It's a pre-war baseball cap. You should be able to find one randomly in a dresser around the Wasteland, and you can also buy them from Anthony Ling in Tenpenny Tower. Alternatively, some Megaton settlers will occasionally be found wearing the hat, so you could murder them and take it if you don't mind the karma loss. --MisterTennisBalls 06:38, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

For baseball caps, I recommend Takoma Park Little Leaguer cap. User-Mirar pawprint14Mirar (Talk) 06:41, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Awesome pic and lol those are the exact clothes my character wears..my favorite hat in the game.LuciusZelgius 05:55, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Srsly? Look in your dresser before you leave the vault. Remember the hat that Stanley gives you? It hasn't vanished. 75.120.119.231

Weightless Quest Items[]

I added a link to the article Quest Essential, which contains the info about quest items being actually weightless (regardless of what PipBoy tells you). Now that the link exists, I removed a few redundant explanations. Seems to me better to have a link than to repeat the info everywhere.--Gothemasticator 09:20, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Radroaches?[]

Has anybody done any testing concerning using the repellent stick on radroaches? I was walking through the RobCo facility with it equipped and attacked some of the radroaches. The result was a smoking radroach that still attacked if I hindered its movement, but otherwise ran away at a quick pace. Eventually, the effect seemed to disappear and the roach returned to normal. This was all done on the PS3. Anyone care to back this up?173.105.59.92 21:06, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

Didn't work on random encounter.[]

I just ran into a random encounter (?) wherein a Supermutant master was attacking a group of about 6 molerats with a sledgehammer. After dispatcing the supermutant, I tried attacking the molerats with the repellent stick. After repeated attacks, the smoking animation was triggered, but they didn't appear to take any of the special effect damage. This encounter was south of the flooded metro, shortly before the freeway ramp (underwhich there is a raider camp) and N. of the Citadel. On PS3.

Something that I think should be added[]

However, I'm not sure. I was thinking of putting the following in the article to explain how the smoke effect triggers on all creatures-

"This may be due to some slight incendiary compound, such as the phosphorus sesquisulfide used in strike-anywhere matches." Nathan Hale 12:15, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Why..? It's obviously just an effect that has been programmed in. Like the electrical effect when you hit enemies with Jingweis Shocksword. Or the flame effect when you attack enemies with the Flamer/Shishkebab. What's with the need to explain all of this shit as if it's real?--94.171.184.82 16:21, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

You do realize that finding possible reasons for in-game effects, that are, of course, programmed, is extremely common on Wikia, right? That, or you're just a troll. Many pages on this wiki include reasonable conjecture to explain odd things through the game. The goal of this is to make the game seem somewhat more like the real world. (And don't go yelling at me about how Fallout isn't real/meant to be as such. It's an overused tactic, and you'll just make yourself look like some sort of hate-monger.)

Durability check[]

As I'm working it out, this should only be able to strike about 400 times with an item HP of 100. Where is the 2000 coming from? Great Mara (talk) 20:29, December 24, 2014 (UTC)
