Thanks! Mirar 18:59, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

FO3 template[]

Thanks for adding missing character articles! Please add {{FO3}} at the top of each Fallout 3 article, though. I also moved your Mr Handy article to Mabel Henderson's Mr. Handy (the correct spelling is with a dot after Mr.) Ausir 14:17, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Oh yes, you're right. My bad, good that you moved it. :) Mirar 14:26, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

And Check Out Catherine the Mom from Fallout 3- See what she looks like!

FO3 Weapon tables[]

Thanks for adding the sort function and nowrap; I didn't know that the sort function was available! I was wondering whether you thought Left -ligned Weapon Names was better than Center-aligned? I tend to prefer Left-aligned but someone seems to like changing them back to Center-aligned. --Trithemius 05:27, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Personally I don't like center-alignment very much. It makes it rather hard to follow a table. I'm all for left for text and right for numbers. :) Mirar 18:29, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

General stats tab[]

Ive looked and looked and not really sure where to ask about this. Is there a list of the stats that appear under the general tab in FO3 somewhere in the vault? I've searched every combo of words I can think of and have not found anything. I'm mostly looking for what gives you the stats. Most are obvious IE: people killed, Locations discovered ect., but there is one I can't seem to get to go up, Contracts Filled. This isn't a counter of ears or fingers turned in, and as of yet Ive not run into a quest that gives out contracts directly. So, firstly any clue about this stat or location in the vault on where to get it, and secondly is this general stats list worth adding somewhere if it isn't already here? MisterPuck 18:25, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

I actually don't know. There's probably a console command to dig them up, but I don't even know what that would be. Sorry...
--Mirar 18:28, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Metro mapping[]

I'm loving the work you are doing in mapping the Capitol Wasteland metro system. Very clean and efficient template, along with helpful local maps of each. Keep up the good work! Elko 19:25, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! It's feels good someone noticed. :) I made templates for settlements and locations as well, see Megaton, Rivet City and Meresti Trainyard for instance - although The Mall took longest to map - feel free to use them in other places.
-- Mirar 19:26, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Could you please correct the templates for locations and buildings so that the caption below the image will show actually below the image not on the right side. Thank you.
And good work with those templates. Keep it up! RDGST 19:10, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Hm, they look fine to me. I wonder if it's a browser thing. Can you point to one that doesn't work? Mirar 19:27, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Yep, it's a browser thing. Firefox fooled me to think they were ok. Fixing... Mirar 19:44, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

template issue[]

Another issue with templates: the text doesn't go around the table, it starts below the table leaving the empty space to the left of the table (see example here) RDGST 16:59, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Oops![]

Nice catch. I was just browsing back at the old revision and then went to make a correction. Forgot to click the most recent revision first. --Lord0din69 07:38, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Excellent Work[]

Just wanted to pop by and join others in thanking you for your excellent work on this wiki. I've been doing bits here and there, and just joined recently, but I see your handiwork everywhere! Every time I create a page, you template it for me, and you've created those templates for us all to use and make these pages look even better. So thanks for your work here, and keep it up! --Shizaara 17:05, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!
-- Mirar 18:26, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

new idea on maps[]

I've started discussion on the purpose of map images here. You may want to state your opinion. RDGST 14:46, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Welcome message[]

I have a question about the welcome message. In which exact vault am I? Ok, I'm just kidding, thanks for the message, I will try to contribute as much as possible:)--Odysseas-Spartan53 13:04, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: Move[]

Thanks for the hint, I blindly assumed "Move" was restricted to admins and completely ignored the large button at the top... Guess it's time I better went to sleep ;) --Porter21 08:31, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Hehe. ;) (I assumed the same and didn't spot it either at first...) Mirar 08:33, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Console weapons[]

I noticed that you deleted the Wanda article (that I just rewrote, don't hurt me please :) ) and stated that it shouldn't be here since it can only be got via console.

Wouldn't it be better to let those weapons have their pages and specifically state that they are cheat-only? It's what I have done with all console-only weapons (prior to noticing your comment). In my opinion, people will just keep adding those pages otherwise. --Porter21 (Talk) 15:16, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Actually, Mirar didn't delete it. Just clarified in the article that it's obtainable only through the console. I also think there's nothing wrong with these items having articles. Ausir 16:07, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Indeed, I misread. My apologies, Mirar ;) Just noticed I had deletion warnings coming up for a couple of those pages.
Since we are at it, what about the special Follower weapons? We have 2 of them (Charon's combat shotgun and Clover's Cleaver) but there are more (2 for each follower except Dogmeat to be precise, 12 total). --Porter21 (Talk) 16:21, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
We have Fawkes' super sledge too. Ausir 16:29, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Interestingly, Fawkes' super sledge differs from his regular "follower" Sledgehammer and you can get it via normal ingame means (trade with him during Finding the Garden of Eden). There are also 2 versions of Clover's Cleaver, with Clover's Cleaver (console only) doing more damage than her regular "follower" weapon. The other weapons are marked as non-playable, will see what that means.
Maybe we should continue this on my talk page, no need to bother Mirar with this :) --Porter21 (Talk) 16:54, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, I do care. :) Fixing that was a bit further down on my priority list though. :) I removed Wanda from the Fallout 3 weapon list because it's not obtainable, so it's not really in Fallout 3-the-game. I spent way too much time trying to dig through datafiles to find if it was anywhere... Mirar 19:11, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

I've added the weapons to Fallout 3 unused items and created a new page for the follower equipment (Fallout 3 follower equipment). Not sure what to do with Charon's combat shotgun though, it's the only follower weapon with its own page. --Porter21 (Talk) 22:58, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Fallout 3 Weapons Template[]

I love that you're adding DPS to the weapon info list! --AshRandom 20:09, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm taking your lead, I've added a hidden (≈AP) to the weapon template, like you did with DPS. I'm currently pawing my way through every last weapon, this is gonna take me a while ;) --AshRandom 20:43, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Unless it was just a mistake that it got changed to 25AP, would you please double-check the GECK data for the AER9 laser rifle? I could swear its a 17 AP weapon. --AshRandom 15:08, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
No, you're right, it's a 17. I wonder where I got 25 from... User-Mirar pawprint14Mirar (Talk) 15:21, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
You were probably just thinking of the plasma rifle. Thanks again! --AshRandom 15:40, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Okay. Well... Seems like the only important thing left at this point is the critical damage bonus. I mean, we don't really need to list the ROF do we? They can figure out the ROF from the DPS yeah? Okay, well, unless I can't sleep tonight, I'll work on crit bonuses tomorrow. --AshRandom 22:53, 23 December 2008 (UTC) Couldn't really find a useful source of crit bonuses, that would be of any value... Have you figured out how it's calculated (crit chance, crit bonus)? User-Mirar pawprint14Mirar (Talk) 09:09, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

I was under the impression that the critical damage bonus column on the Fallout 3 weapons page was accurate, figured I'd just include it. --AshRandom 16:01, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
I could check with GECK, just don't know if it would be useful anyway... User-Mirar pawprint14Mirar (Talk) 16:05, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
You're right, lets skip it, it seems like its just double damage anyway. --AshRandom 16:08, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

The new weapons template is fantastic, great job Mirar! I like the color scheme, compact size and cells that vanish when empty. --AshRandom 14:41, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Weapons[]

I've done my best to collate all three forms of damage stats onto each of the specific weapon pages. I'd love it if you could double check the numbers. --AshRandom 00:13, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Declaration[]

I love you for the Games template. <3

FO3 perk template[]

Hope you don't mind if I retire Template:FO3 perk :-) I've made a new perk template (Template:Infobox perk) in which information for a perk across all games is summed up which would replace the FO3-specific one. // Porter21 U | T 22:44, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Infobox changes[]

I've reverted your last changes to Template:Infobox for now because they are filling up Category:Image needed with pages which really don't need images. I think it has to do with it also checking for the second image; most infoboxes don't use that one.

Hope you don't mind. // Porter21 U | T 14:16, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Dang. The macros must execute in another order than I thought. Apparently they are added to the category even though the macro shouldn't expand to the [[Category...]]. :( User-Mirar pawprint14Mirar (Talk) 14:24, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, I think it's this bit:
{{#ifexist:Image:{{{image2}}}||[[Category:Image needed]]}}
The ifexist should return "false" for all "end-templates" which don't set the second image at all or set it to "empty" (the quest ones, the character ones etc) which then adds the page to the category.
Also, some "end-templates" circumvent the regular image fields entirely (pre-FO3 armor ones primarily, such as Template:Infobox armor) so they'll always show up as requiring images. Maybe we should introduce image1required and image2required parameters with the first one defaulting to "yes", the second to "no" - that way you could override the requirement if need be.
It's a nice idea in principle though :-) Maybe we should move this to the template talk. // Porter21 U | T 14:39, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Actually, it's {{#if ... | {{#ifexist:the image|nothing|category}} publish image}}, so the category part shouldn't have executed if the image wasn't published (and with a big fat red link), so I don't quite get why it puts in the category for every image. (Or it should be like that, anyway.) User-Mirar pawprint14Mirar (Talk) 20:56, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Lots of errant links[]

Hi.

In your lists, there are lots of errant links that are coming up as "requested pages". I fixed a couple in your list to help you, but there are quite a number. It appears they haven't been touched in some time, are you going to search out the pages and edit the links to point to the existing pages?

Really, the links in my lists are just straight links out into anything depending on the name. It's not certain they should point to articles. Possibly they should link to #redirects.

Schematics: Rock-it Launcher v4[]

On your FO3 notes page you have a reference to a Schematics - Rock-It Launcher v.4, which doesn't exist. I deleted the page, so you may want to go and fix the redlink in your FO3 notes page (you probably just made a typo). --Kris User Hola 16:04, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

That page is autogenerated from the FO3 files, it's not to be edited... What FO3 actually used and didn't use in the game is a different thing. (That's why it's under my user page, and not under the official pages.) -- User-Mirar pawprint14Mirar (Talk) 06:20, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

New Vegas[]

Any chance for you coming back for New Vegas? We could use your data extraction skills, among other things. :) Ausir(talk) 00:57, September 28, 2010 (UTC)

this guy is the real deal. Marxismoney 08:20, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

New policy on inactive admins[]

This is a friendly notice to inform you of a recent policy change here at Nukapedia. We have enacted a policy concerning all inactive admins/mods/chat mods who have not edited here in over 9 months. As your most recent edit was on September 7, 2010, you are one of the those who fits that criteria. We felt it important to get in touch with you to give you the opportunity to again become an active contributing editor and member of the Nukapedia community, whilst retaining your user rights. Please respond on my talk page, otherwise, if we do not hear back from you by October 16th, as well as see an increased presence on the wiki, your extra user rights will be removed. You will have the opportunity to respond to a bureaucrat to request them back at any point after becoming edit active for at least one month and show an active desire to make continued contributions again on Nukapedia. Thank you for your time.--Kingclyde (talk) 06:10, October 3, 2012 (UTC)
