mysterious gift[]
On December 23 2021, immediately following the original Mothman Equinox, I found a wrapped gift containing 3311 circuits, copper, and steel on top of the modified pylon. 3311 circuits is a conspicuous fortune, and it is unusual to me that any player would leave it on the ground outside with no guarantee that it would be found.
I probably only noticed it because I was using a mod that replaced item drop models with a large, glowing model. I suspect it was left for me specifically, because I had parked my tent atop Pylon V-14, pointed toward the portal.
I was already blogging about the location at that time, so I generally presume it was simply left by a fellow lore enthusiast, but I am not aware of any specific follower who would have had such an excess of resources. Those on my friends list were mostly series fans who barely played 76.
I never figured out who might have left the gift or what they might have been trying to tell me. I hope this anecdote is useful or at least intriguing to someone else interested in Pylon V-13.--Anachorite (talk) 11:39, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
