Scavenged vs. Scrapped?[]

Under the Sunset Sarsaparilla security heading, I believe the phrase, "... can also be found and scavenged for parts" is more descriptive than "... can also be found and scrapped for parts".

My understanding is that "scavenge" refers to the act of extracting usable parts, while (the verb) "scrap" merely implies "throw away". There appears to be some disagreement about this, though, and I was wondering what opinions other editors might have.

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks! — UncleBubba T @ C ) 22:11, October 7, 2011 (UTC)

To me 'scrapped' would be used to describe the act of breaking something that is in working order already in order to get parts. 'Scavenged' or 'salvaged' would be used to describe taking parts from something already broken. User:Great_MaraMessage 22:16, October 7, 2011 (UTC)
That's really a very good differentiation. I hadn't thought about it quite that way, but I like it. Thanks! — UncleBubba T @ C ) 22:33, October 7, 2011 (UTC)

I believe it's referring to Fisto, the sexbot. Although, I too find it questionable. Paladin117>>iff bored; 01:24, July 25, 2012 (UTC)
