Prerequisite[]

Completing Mercer Safehouse seems to be a prerequisite for gaining this mission, unless I'm mistaken. Several MILA missions and three Randolph Safehouse missions yielded no initiation. Can anyone else verify this? Great Mara (talk) 06:01, February 2, 2016 (UTC)

I can't remember if I completed Mercer Safehouse, but in previous playthrough I know I completed all of Tinker Tom's MILA locations and PAM never offered any Jackpot quests outside of the first one. I did plenty of fast traveling to and fro to try and get PAM to offer the missions. I gave up and after a while decided to check on the Railroad and PAM offered me a Variable Removal quest.--64.127.136.202 21:00, February 18, 2016 (UTC)
It seems this way yes. Also I feel like I get 1 jackpot mission after I place 1 MILA, maybe even some other railroad side quest completion is required to get new missions in the chain, but it might be just 24h waiting requirement idk.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gendalv (talk • contribs) 17:43, February 26, 2016 (UTC). Also this quest, just like MILA and Randolph Safehouse quests, shouldn't be called radiant in my opinion they do happen in a random (from a list) location, but afaik they're not endless and they're required for a quite important thing - Ballistic weave and mods to it, aren't they. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gendalv (talk • contribs) 17:43, February 26, 2016 (UTC). "Radiant" doesn't mean "endless". It just means one or more of the the quest aliases (location, NPC, object, etc.) is variable. In retrospect, though, maybe fixed aliases vs. variable is a less useful distinction than whether the quest can be received on more than one occasion. Aya42 (talk) 22:30, February 26, 2016 (UTC)

Ballistic Weave[]

It says on the page that the Ballistic Weave only becomes available after "multiple missions", but I just did the Jackpot mission for the very first time and got the Ballistic Weave immediately. I got the "Hub 360" mission, completed it, turned it in to PAM, then spoke to Tom and he had the Ballistic Weave available. Should the page be updated or do we need to test this to make sure it wasn't a fluke? DRAEVAN13 13:56, April 21, 2016 (UTC)

There might be a distinction between being able to purchase items with ballistic weave, and being able to create them. It's been a long time since I did these missions, but I vaguely recall you had to complete more than one mission in order to create the items yourself. Aya42 (talk) 11:30, April 22, 2016 (UTC)
I tested it and no matter when I got Hub 360 Jackpot quest (first, second, third, or fourth) you can only buy/make Ballistic Weave when you complete the Hub 360 mission. DRAEVAN13 14:24, April 22, 2016 (UTC)
Odd. Don't think I did Hub 360. Pretty sure it was the Pinnacle Highrise which unlocked it for me. Maybe it's randomly allocated to one of the locations at the start of the game. Aya42 (talk) 14:17, April 23, 2016 (UTC)

Visit Multiple caches on 1 mission[]

I got the HUB360 location from PAM. but after visiting the cache but before turning it in I went to Medford Hospital. Had no idea it was a cache location, but recognised the hidden door panels, and as I approached the doors opened. So it seems you can loot each location when you have the access card. 220.253.201.152 04:25, December 4, 2016 (UTC)

Hub 360 cache reachable from "common" areas w/ Jetpack[]

Actually the cache is reachable if you enter the building "the normal" way:

> proceed to the lower level and send the elevator up (press the button from the inside and walk out before the doors close
> walk down the stairs to the entrance area and there in the elevator shaft and jump/fly up to the previous elevator doors (opening them from the shaft side won't call the elevator)
> proceed in the same manner to the level above that and you are at the cache level

This can be done with the other levels above, leading "out of the map" HomerDOHSimpson (talk) 02:51, November 7, 2017 (UTC)

Missing RFID device[]

I ran into an issue recently where the RFID device wasn't in my inventory - no idea why. The quest wouldn't proceed, but I was able to work around it by a console command to get the RFID added back to my inventory.

I've tried to add a 'bugs' section here to document my fix, as I've found an old Reddit thread where someone had the same issue. I'd like to help any future gamers that have the same issue for whatever reason. However, Branebriar1930 has removed this. Can we have a discussion about how I can document this fix? I honestly don't understand why it's a big deal to have a sentence in this article about this, even though it may be a very rare issue for most players.

  • If a cache does not open when approached, the RFID device could be missing from one's inventory. This can be added in via a console command: "player.additem 000b92db 1". If needed, walk away then back towards the cache to get it to trigger.
