EX-41[]

The Grenade Launcher is a copy of the real life weapon EX-41. [1] I'm not sure if this needs to be in the page or not its kinda off topic. This gun was also in the 20th Century weapons mod for Fallout 3. This may be why it's in NV I have no proof of this though. Bronze Knight 05:23, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, it would be outside the scope of the article unless it was named EX-41 ingame. Thanks for asking here on the talk page before just adding it in (which would necessitate someone taking it back out again). --Kris User Hola 05:39, October 26, 2010 (UTC)
Well on the This Machine page, they have it put as a copy of the M1 Garand (which it is). Soo I don't think it would be off topic.--ViciuosMrCuddles 07:14, October 26, 2010 (UTC)
What other people do to articles doesn't make the Vault's guidelines any different. Neither the EX-41 or the China Lake (or any other grenade launchers) should be mentioned. Nitty Tok. 01:44, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

Bug?[]

Is it a bug that you are able to repair the Grenade Launcher with a Minigun? --Webley 09:49, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

It would be, can you get a screen shot? And do you have the Jury Rigging perk?AryeonosWhat!? 08:40, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

I didn't have the Perk and I had a screenshot but just deleted it yesterday. I'll grab the two items and try it again. --Webley 04:54, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
Remembered this whilst on another play though. http://i52.tinypic.com/2mmg3lj.jpg --Webley 05:46, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

I cant repair granade launcher with a minigun or granade rifle. Is a bug??? I don't have Jury Rigging perk.--Ringo66 21:02, April 8, 2011 (UTC)

It indeed does repair with miniguns because Dead Money changes its used repair list to the minigun one. So it is possible you don't get this bug because you're not an owner of DM.IPodged 14:56, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Damage/Attack[]

Can someone please clarify what the damage per attack is? The dmg/attack is a different value from the one posted on the weapons page spreadsheet. Also the 2 + 30 makes no sense to me.. It's not like it shoots multiple rounds at once.

2+30 means that the gun itself deals 2 points of damage, then after that the explosion triggers, and the explosion deals 30 points of damage.Fiddlesoup 22:50, November 26, 2010 (UTC)
i'm sure you mean the shot itself, not the gun. As much as I'd love to be able to clonk someone over the head with my grenade launcher for 2 points of damage. Roflmaomgz 01:29, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Locations?[]

First, what is the NCR outpost? The Mojave Outpost? If so, i'll look there. There were none for me in Vault 34. None in Nellis except Pearl's. Contreras had one for sale, Blake never had any. And there wasn't one in the safe in the Tops Casino. Boone nor ED-E never had any on them either. Where else can these be found?--86.44.130.208 14:48, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

I found at least one on a shelf at the Nellis AFB Mess Hall & Munitions Storage, next to the Boomer Munitions Manager. You are required to steal it but you can easily sneak and do so with out being detected. --Hydroforge 08:53, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Bugs[]

I've noticed a few bugs with the Grenade Launcher. One is easily visible; Just look down with it equipped. There's a 40mm Grenade stuck in the stock. Another one is the blatant sound bug when reloading (it makes a "pump" sound when each grenade is loaded in.) IncompetentMinion 15:37, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

The first bug is the same bug with pretty much every weapon. The clip or speedloader will appear where it is placed during the reload sequence. No idea what you mean about the second bug, because the launcher shares a reload animation and sound with the hunting shotgun. Nitty Tok. 15:55, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Well that clears up the first bug. But what I mean with the second bug is that it makes the pumping sound with each grenade that's loaded in, and then an out-of-synch pump when they've all been loaded in. IncompetentMinion 18:10, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Oop, tested it again. The reload-pumping glitch only happens if you have Rapid Reload. IncompetentMinion 14:37, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

Rifle faster?[]

With a high agility and/or Rapid Reload perk, would anyone agree one could reload a generic grenade rifle faster than actually pumping the grenade launcher once?--With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450' YOU. LOSE. 03:53, February 1, 2011 (UTC)

Bothersome anons[]

This gun is not the china lake grenade launcher from black ops. it doesnt matter if it looks and behaves like a china lake you cannot reference to real world weapons or weapons from other games. I dont agree with it either but we all have to follow the rules. if this continues can an admin block anons from editing?--Ze5ro1 04:07, February 10, 2011 (UTC)

Comparison useless?[]

Isn't it pointless to have a comparison section if the weapon in question isn't compared with the others? Just a thought. Looks like someone copy and pasted the one from the Grenade rifle page.--109.58.96.109 20:40, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Grenade launcher and Minigun[]

You can repair GL with MG, but not vice versa, with Jury Rigging. Not that anyone would care much because the dang thing is of nearly equal cost, right? But you can do it. It's prolly a bug but I dont know why two buggers keep revert my edit. I dont give a flying monkey that they dont bother to manually add two items into the game to check for themselves, before they do so. Half a monkey, yeah, but not a whole one. Drop it here for someone curious enough (or like to mess around enough)...

I mean is it hard enough to

  • additemhealthpercent 0000433f 1 .01 then
  • additemhealthpercent 0007ea25 1 .01 then
  • addperk 00165815 .
  • Then check. is it that hard?

I check two different character (with different mod list and progress. One guy even verify that he noticed the same thing.Laclongquan (talk) 15:57, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

G.Launcher with Heave Ho![]

Perhaps someone should mention that the Heave Ho! Perk gives the Grenade launcher far greater range despite it not being a thrown weapon. 67.248.157.233 19:24, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

I'd seriously need to see proof from the GECK to believe that one. Great Mara (talk) 19:28, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

Hopefully you believe it by now.
