Do Cars respawn?[]

Explosive cars are dangerous, and thusly pretty fun to me. Does anyone know if they respawn?

Should it be mentioned in the article that Arkansas seems to be the only NPC that actually aims for cars? All other vehicles blowing up look like its just because of stray bullets or grenades. --Moltenfungus 06:35, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Arkansas is actually scripted to that effect - check Minefield in the GECK and you'll see the cars surrounded by zones that trigger it.

It's funny, even if you're [HIDDEN] he'll still aim for the car when you're nearby. -- 98.226.85.9 21:58, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

if your asking if cars respawn so you can blow them up again im 95% sure that they do because i keep blowing up the same ones over and over again 173.71.75.54 21:43, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

They respawn when the zone resets, which means that they only respawn in areas that reset.DescentJS 19:06, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

Toilet Trap[]

I believe there is more than one Toilet trap. I have encountered it in 2 places: A metro station (Possibly the one in the article) And one possibly in the statesman hotel (Though I am unsure) Jetty84.13.145.70 10:38, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

There is a youtube video of a person who found one in hubis comics

Corpse Trap[]

I just encountered a "corpse trap"... a wastelander's body rigged up to blow on proximity. Has anyone else ever seen this? --Diddily 22:40, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Yes actually. Quite a shock. Fat Man Spoon 19:18, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Came across two so far and wasnt able to disarm either of them with 100 repair. - Bot

I found one right in front of empty water crates in front of Evergreen Mills. It's quite convenient actually, I'm going to try to place him where the raiders respawn on the cliffs and re-arm him. --Clean Up 23:52, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Pinkerton's Lamp Trap[]

I just found a "lamp trap" in Pinkerton's place. Everyone's encountered it if they've done any quest involving Pinkerton. In the gas leak hallway, Pinkerton placed a tripwire. Said wire pulls a lamp off of a shelf. The bulb pops, igniting the fumes. Can we put this in, even though there is only one such trap in existence? --Mando345: June 16, 2009

I believe this may actually be the frag grenade trap you are confusing this with. The first time I encountered it in the hallway I did the same thing.

The rigged baby carriage...[]

...should be called a "Baby Boomer."

All in favor? 98.226.85.9 21:56, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

I second that.GodPlageon 21:58, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

same hear--5:33pm 17:53, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Agreed --DescentJS 19:07, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

Can anyone else confirm the Explosives 60 requirement to disarm? I had Explosives 55, +5 from the Blastmaster Helmet = 60, but I still got the notification that I needed Explosives 60 to disarm it. Grail Quest 07:48, March 22, 2012 (UTC)

Light Step and Carriages[]

I have Light Step and am immune to tripwires, pressure plates and frag mines, but the rigged carriages (or "Baby Boomers" delightfully suggested above) still trigger when I approach. Can anyone else confirm a similar experience, or is this bug unique to my experience? -ReverendTed 17:01, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

You're only immune to "floor based" traps. Baby boomers are contained inside the carriage, which you can move.Pinkynperky04 05:55, November 8, 2009 (UTC)

Rigged Cars?[]

I have encountered cars that seem to be throne at me, is this some sort of glitch, has anyone else experienced this??? 09:48, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

No idea how a car could be 'throne' at you, but you could always sit on it and claim your title as King of the Wastes.

Separate page for traps in New Vegas?[]

Does anyone else think there should be a separate page for traps only found in Fallout: New Vegas? Only include Traps found in the Mojave Wasteland, Sierra Madre, etc. I know I'd certainly appreciate it, anyone else? --Archea 02:16, January 26, 2011 (UTC)Nick

Umm cars?[]

cars andmotorcycles arnet traps at all there more of just some obstaclee that is in the wasteland so why on the traps page is it on there just askin--Red 16:08, April 24, 2011 (UTC)

Rigged Shotgun picture[]

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, the rigged shotgun trap from Fallout 3 looks like a rigged combat shotgun, not like a rigged single-shot .20 gauge as featured in Fallout New Vegas. Could we possibly get an image of the Rigged Combat Shotgun for that trap's image? I'd do it myself but I play on the 360, as a result my image would be a camera photo of a tv screen. Richie9999 (talk) 20:59, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

Yes i agree a rigged combat shotgun picture would be perfect for this page. --Swedishfalloutpootis (talk) 11:24, November 26, 2015 (UTC)

Quick Tip[]

My Top Tip for mines is, KEEP WALKING! If you hear the beep that means you've triggered one, if you keep walking (well, running) in the same direction, you'll usually be out of the blast area by the time it explodes. Or far enough away to suffer little damage.

Can this go on the page? I dunno what the policy is here, I'm not a member. I downloaded the whole site though to use with Wikireader! It's saved my life and made the game more interesting. Though I kicked myself a little for spoiling President Eden's "secret".
