Does this game end and can't play it after the endings? Like Fallout 3? (if no broken steel)? Bot2345 21:36, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Canon Endings[]

Now that New Vegas has been released, should someone add in a section saying that which of the endings are officially canon?

It would also be nice to explain why certain endings are canon instead of just declaring them canon.--Ol'JJ 15:18, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

The "Bishop Child" ending is neither proven nor refuted in New Vegas. It simply states that the Bishop family is still in control and there is a "Mr. Bishop" in a position of power in New Reno. This does not mean the "Bishop Child" is the only explanation, and therefore does not establish the gender of the Chosen One as necessarily male.

^However Bruce Isaac says the head of the Bishop family has a fondness for roaming the wastes. It would seem they are trying to imply he is the son of The Chosen One.

Yes, it would be nice if sources would be added.

Good Gecko ending?[]

The article says scripting errors make good endings for Gecko and Vault 13 inaccessible. Killap is confirmed to have fixed the V13 bug, allowing a good ending for the deathclaws if Schreber is killed before the Enclave assault. This will result in the assault not taking place. Does anyone know whether he fixed the Gecko bug too?--Amitakartok 19:12, February 24, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, killap fixed it. In fact you can now get a weird situation where you have the good ending for Gecko, the Redding part of Vault city ending, and the ending where Vault city wanes before giving up and joining the NCR.

Images[]

Is there a necessity to put an image to each possible ending (they will repeat some times)? Korney San (talk) 05:55, December 13, 2012 (UTC)

Shi Canonical Ending[]

Nothing in Fallout 4 establishes that the Shi ending is the canonical one. I get that maybe someone may have thought that because Kellogg works for The Shi, but we have no way of telling how far in to the timeline that was. As far as we know he could have worked for them before the events of Fallout 2.

We probably shouldn't establish a canonical ending on this wiki, unless we are absolutely sure it's canon, since most people will take the wikis word on it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.30.75.234 (talkcontribs) 9 Jan 2017. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Kellogg has already been confirmed as being fairly old for a human due to his cybernetic implants, and seeing as in how the Shi never make an actual presence in-game outside of memory simulation, I have to agree that their situation after the events of Fallout 2 are dubious, especially since the canon originally intended to have San Fran nuked by the Enclave remnants in Van Buren, even though the game was later scraped, leaving that bit of the lore up in the air. 寧靜 Fox 17:55, April 15, 2018 (UTC)

13 years[]

I heard that if 13 in game years pass an ending screen appears saying "The End". I am not sure if this is true, I have only read people saying this is true but there is no proof I could find. If this is true, I feel as though it should be added YukiHakimoto (talk) 03:10, June 17, 2018 (UTC)
