Deletion[]

We know nothing yet. And besides, back when Adam Adamowicz' concept art was released a few years back, many pages were made from that, even if they didn't appear in the game. With all of that art being shown at E3 as well in a video purposely made for showing at E3, it wouldn't make much sense to put in content that's not even going to appear when you think about it. Even if it doesn't end up appearing, the pages should still stay. If these pages go, then that would mean all the FO3 concept art pages will have to go. I just went looking for the Fallout 3 concept art page. I did not find one. Please link me to it. The Gunny  UserGunny chevrons 00:03, June 18, 2015 (UTC)
Conceptual art, by definition, is art that is used to propose concepts that have not yet been approved. Stating their canonicity, without actual in-game content, is just another form of speculation.
But regardless of their canonical-state, conceptual art is a legitimate source of Fallout knowledge, and deserves a place on our wiki. An example is seen with the Fallout 3 wanamingos: they do not have their own articles, since they do not exist in-game, but their concept-art is still present within our article-space. User:Sarkhan the Sojourner 00:11, June 18, 2015 (UTC)
Do you not remember, back a few years ago, you know when Bethesda released a few hundred of his concept drawings after his death? Anyway, look in the Fallout 3 concept art category, don't know how to link a category on here, other than that no-wiki shit. But yeah, there were a quite a few creatures, robots, technologies, etc. which didn't make it in the game and were given pages. User ayyyy  OfficialLolGuy  Talk  Blog  00:12, June 18, 2015 (UTC)
Actually, we do have a bit of a double-standard going on... I see that we have independent articles for non-existent content such as the Piggy bank grenade. Cut content is one thing... conceptual content that does not exist in the editing software? Pretty iffy. User:Sarkhan the Sojourner 00:15, June 18, 2015 (UTC)
I hate the piggy bank grenade article. I came across that with the overviews project. The point I was working towards with Broc was that we don't have a place for concept art that does not become actual gameplay. Perhaps we should fix that. I looked for the Fallout 3 concept art page, and was astounded that we don't have one. This is where that content should be. A place for all the concept art that doesn't really have a place anywhere else, and a proper place for the new stuff until we know it's in the game. Broc made me realize this, so Broc gets the honor of making the page. Sound like a solution? The Gunny  UserGunny chevrons 00:21, June 18, 2015 (UTC)
Oh, and any articles created off of pure concept art that do not represent items/places in games, should have their content moved to the appropriate game concept art page. The Gunny  UserGunny chevrons 00:22, June 18, 2015 (UTC)
Yeman, that's sound a good solution actually. Does make sense actually, since for all we know they could have just been ideas being thrown around, but they still arguably deserve mentions as trivia or something. But yeah, thanks for that bro, and I think a dedicated page would be a great way of rounding up the concept art and collecting the information together. Canon or just a easter egg?[]

Just saying, Fallout and Fallout 2 had aliens, and Fallout: New Vegas had aliens too with the Wild Wasteland perk (just a jon-canon easter egg). Since Mothership Zeta is canon (urgh), in Fallout 4 they are considered canon or not? In my opinion, not (unless Bethesda wants to put more aliens in a future DLC and mess the canon history for me). —Preceding comment was unsigned. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I would say that the alien encounters in Fallout 1, 2, and even 3 were easter eggs. To imply they were cannon would imply that the TARDIS is in the Fallout world in canon, or that the Holy Hand Grenade is canon. That said, Mothership Zeta changed that. Mothership Zeta IS canon and a couple references to alien tech in Fallout 3 are canon as well. As a result, I would say that now everything to do with aliens is canon and retroactively, so are the events from 1, 2, and 3. Degrelescence (talk) 17:40, November 23, 2015 (UTC)
Far as i know, the alien encounter are just an easter egg in 1,2, and New Vegas. The Fallout 3 alien is canon (i hate this DLC, but... ok). But i don't think that the F4 alien spaceship is canon like in F3. I think is just an easter egg for sure. TakeshiDS (talk) 16:42, November 26, 2015 (UTC)
Can't really have it both ways. Especially being as they are mentioned as fact in the loading screens. Once they made them canon, they are canon. They can't be temporarily canon. Degrelescence (talk) 19:44, November 26, 2015 (UTC)
I agree that they are canon now, as the ship and alien are similar to the recoon craft theta and the aliens in the mothership zeta dlc. Also the alien language on the ham radio is very similar to the alien language in mothership zeta. Had they not been canon the alien probably woukd have been completely different in appearance. Official name??[]

Was just wandering something. The loading screen refers to them as Zetans. Not only does this link them to the same aliens from Mothership Zeta, but I am wondering if this could be their real names. I mean it is more likely this is just a nickname the crazies give them, similar to our grey aliens. For all we no their real species name are the "Espacleclalcamonicspeleyouispelyou" But was just wandering what you guys think. Also before anyone tells me. its cannon, deal with it. —Preceding comment was unsigned. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I think it is their official name. Being as their ship was called Zeta and the conspiracy theorists were so irrationally accurate. Besides, it isn't real life. Their name won't be unpronounceable to us or anything like that. The designers already took the time to come up with a name, they aren't going to spend the time to come up with another one unless they have to, for some reason (maybe storyline continuity). Also, that loading screen wouldn't exist if the developers weren't trying to spread that name around (so that they aren't just called 'the fallout aliens' anymore). That's my opinion. Crash Event[]

I don't see this mentioned but I find it hard to believe I was the only one to witness it. While exploring I came across Quincy. As I approached Quincy from the North I saw the spaceship pass over heading North West. I had Nick Valentine with me and if I remember right, he asked if I got the plate number on it, referencing how fast it was going. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.71.231.55 (talk • contribs). It's mentioned on the page UFO crash site. Aya42 (talk) 12:37, January 28, 2016 (UTC)

"400-500 alien blaster rounds"[]

I've spent the last hour reloading a save from before I entered the cave and repeatedly killing the alien to try and get the reported 400+ rounds. I'm level 58, have level 3 Scrounger (although it apparently doesn't apply, I did also read that it did at some point), and the most I've seen so far is 333, and generally seem to have gotten under 300. Can anyone confirm (prove) getting over 330 rounds, or explain what is required to get more than 330, or does the article need to be corrected?

Please sign your posts in the future, or make an account. I promise we're friendly. But I've encountered the same thing, the only way I found to fix it was reload for a save before I got close to the Cave or Oberland station, though the event is scripted, perhaps you just got a low roll for whatever reason. I'd recommend switching it to Fusion cells though, it does a little less damage, but it makes the weapon more useful. Rebel427 ~ I'll be your huckleberry 01:14, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

Again, I spent an hour rerolling. I've rolled everywhere from around 280 to 333. I just loaded a save that's almost 24 hours old- and from before I approached the cave- and rolled a 312, a 308, 282 and 294. As far as I can tell, the roll happens when you enter the cave (i.e. transition to the interior cell). If I load a save outside the cave and enter I get a different roll, if I load the autosave from when I entered I get the same roll. Somehow the concept that there are multiple rolls happening seems far fetched to me. Finally, I doubt this character will even use the alien blaster as it's a pistol- in fact it's already mounted on a wall- I just wanted (close to) the maximum amount of ammo for it to say I had the maximum ammo for it and saw the information presented is blatantly false, as even if there is some other mechanic preventing me from getting the 500 rounds, I still haven't once in over an hour of rerolling managed to get the reported minimum (400 rounds) in the range quoted in the article. While I never expected 400-500 to be set in stone absolutes, I would say that a 43% margin of error is a bit much.

Anyway you can get a screenshot of you getting lower than 300? The lowest amount I've gotten is 330. Rebel427 ~ I'll be your huckleberry 09:35, July 7, 2017 (UTC)

Blue anatomical component[]

The article states that "If the alien's head is damaged some of the skeletal structure of its head can be viewed along with what appears to be blue brain matter or some form of blue organ"... However, this is clearly not brain matter. First of all, if you hit it with a headshot the actual brain matter is seen flying around and it is green colored. And second, the same blue coloration is seen plainly in the arm and leg stumps if the body is dismembered. It's not blood either, since the alien's blood is seen all over the place and it's also green. I have no idea what it is actually meant to be, but chances are that its probably related to the muscular or skeletal system rather than any specific organ. Why No Base ID, Ref ID ?[]

They're 00184c51 and 001870c0 respectively according to the chart of all the characters in game, and test out just fine, but why no listing on this page? Noobyorkcity (talk) 05:42, April 22, 2018 (UTC)

Pages which cover races of creatures, rather than individual creatures, have that info in the variants section. Although, given there's only one in Fallout 4, the page could be changed to just cover the individual creature. Aya42 (talk) 16:44, April 22, 2018 (UTC)
