That being said, the face of REPCONN is getting younger, and according to my records, you have been fully vested in your pension for a little more than two years. Given the recent incident, I think that this is an excellent time for you to retire gracefully.— Steve Reynolds firing Martin Neimeyer, REPCONN test site terminal entries; Retirement

Steve "Stevie" Reynolds was the manager of the REPCONN test site for REPCONN Aerospace before the Great War.

Background[]

Reynolds was the REPCONN launch facility's project manager. He frequently wrote emails to the staff to deliver corporate updates.[1][2] He was known for using underhanded tactics such as ignoring safety protocols to gain results and hiring undertrained personnel.[3]

This was the direct cause of the "REPCONN disaster." General Manager Piers Isley, seeking to gain favor with RobCo Industries over their impending buyout of REPCONN, enlisted Reynolds to perform an experiment showcasing REPCONN's performance for visiting RobCo representatives. Reynolds pushed the site engineers to go as hard as they could, until it was too much. The experiment went disastrously, causing a radiation spill that would take decades to clean and greatly reduced REPCONN's negotiating position.[4] On Isley's orders, Reynolds shifted the blame to his old friend, Senior Engineer Martin Neimeyer, and forced him to retire.[5][3]

An accidentally unused terminal entry indicates that Sanjeev Rajan, a custodian, stole Reynolds' emails with Isley regarding the RobCo visit so that Emily Neimeyer could find evidence to get revenge on Reynolds for firing Martin. The relevant set of communications can be found on her employee terminal at the REPCONN test site.[6][4]

Reynolds also ordered the REPCONN test site's janitorial staff to convert an old generator room in the basement into a storage room.[7] This room was briefly used to store a misdelivered shipment of Stealth Boys.

Appearances[]

Steve Reynolds is mentioned only in Fallout: New Vegas.
