Ranger Simons was an employee of the National Park Service at the ranger district office in Appalachia before the Great War.
Background[]
Simons developed an intense rivalry with Ranger Ross, who also worked in the district office, to the point where they had different sides of the office that they could not cross.[1] Simons was a fan of hunting but still loved nature and wanted to preserve it. Ross accused him of letting two poachers kill beavers without any punishment. Ross said that they did not have the right permits, but Simons pointed out that Ross was the one who had refused to sign the permits in the first place.[2] Their conflict reached a boiling point when Simons discovered that Ross stole and ate his Dandy Boy Apples, leading to a scuffle between the two rangers.[3]
