When Thomas is first approached, he will be training a group of Brotherhood of Steel initiates. The Vault Dweller must watch him train the initiates to complete this quest.
Notes[]
Although finishing this quest grants a +5% to the Vault Dweller's Unarmed and Melee Weapons skills, only the experience reward shows up in the quests reward text window.

ThomasThomas was planned to be able to train the Vault Dweller at night after talking with Talus and with him, the results depending on Intelligence - in Small Guns, Big Guns, Energy Weapons, Melee Weapons, Throwing and Unarmed. However, this never made it into the final version of the game, but the dialogue file (THOMAS2.MSG) exists in the game's files.
