This is Squire Rosen. Thunder Mountain is offline. Repeat, Thunder Mountain is offline. Any Brothers with a background in engineering, report to the plant for immediate repairs.— Automated broadcast

Squire R. Rosen was one of the last two surviving members of the Appalachian Brotherhood of Steel in Appalachia.

Background[]

Rosen and Squire Gilden were among the members of the Thunder Mountain Power Plant's garrison, who were the last survivors of the Appalachian Brotherhood after the fall of Fort Defiance on August 18, 2095. Despite bravely standing their ground, by the next day Rosen and Gilden were the only two left, retreating inside the plant. Knowing they were outmatched and with no hope of escape, Rosen recorded the deeds of the plant's garrison as a last testament of the Appalachian Brotherhood. With their deaths later that day, August 19, 2095, the Appalachian Brotherhood of Steel would meet its end.[1]

Notes[]

Rosen's voice is heard during the introduction to the event Powering Up Thunder Mountain.

Appearances[]

R. Rosen is mentioned only in Fallout 76.

Behind the scenes[]

Rosen and Gilden are a reference to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, characters from Shakespeare's play Hamlet.
