Lieutenant Mitchell was an officer of the Boston Police Department before the Great War.
Background[]
Stationed at Police Precinct 8, Mitchell and Sergeant Callahan were the brains behind a sting operation to arrest mob boss Louie Trevisani. Due to Trevisani's connections within the police, Mitchell resorted to finding someone new who he wouldn't know of. On Callahan's recommendation, he chose Officer Candace Isola, an inexperienced but brave and idealistic street cop. Using a friend at Hubris Comics who owed him favors, he set her up as an aspiring actress to catch the mob boss' attention, hoping for him to fall in love with her and thus draw her into his secrets, using the Warren Theater as a contact point. However, he cared little for her personal safety - even willing to "throw her to the wolves" if it meant putting Trevisani behind bars.[1]
After Isola left a tip about the carpenter murders, Mitchell led a raid on Shroud Manor but found nothing thanks to the secret rooms the carpenters had installed. Frustrated, he stopped responding to Isola's growing concerns.[2]
