Martin Cooper was an employee of Braxson's Quality Medical Supplies, working under Albert Johansen.
Background[]
Cooper considered his boss to be unreasonable, as he accepted all orders regardless of the company's ability to make good on them, dismissing all concerns for later. Cooper was worried about workplace injuries or even deaths due to the pace of work Johansen imposed.[1]
Shortly after the Great War, Johansen bailed on the company entirely, and Cooper was instructed to just divide the stock and dispatch it "wherever". He also received a sarcastic promotion in the parting email, instructing the newly made boss to pick up Johansen's patent and design book, if Cooper was really hell-bent to save the world.[2]
