Background[]
Madelyn worked closely with Eugene to fix game matches between the robots at Watoga Civic Center. Eugene souped-up certain robots' programming to make them win matches, while Madelyn continually bet on their victory. To avoid suspicion, she suggested that the robots lose a few rounds.[1] However, Eugene failed to tell Madelyn which matches the robots would lose, causing her to lose five "big-ones." She also warned Eugene to be more careful, as he left an incriminating holotape lying around the Civic Center.[2]
