Jaxon Reed is a deceased resident of the Pitt and the namesake of the section of the Trench known as Jaxon's Noose.

Background[]

Jaxon Reed lived in the Pitt after the Great War with his dog Morley. During what felt like an earthquake, streets and buildings around him crumbled and collapsed and he fell through the ground and was knocked unconscious. When he woke up, he smelled a stench of sulfur and cleaning chemicals,[1] likely originating from the illegally dumped[2] waste byproduct from the Abraxodyne Chemical prototype drain cleaner.[3][4][5] He fell again, into a pool of acid. Dragging himself out, and being partially blinded by the acid, Jaxon attempted to climb out of the hole he was in, unsure of how far from the surface he was. He then heard screams that "sound human, but not." After writing a note stating what happened to him, he claimed to be dieing of thirst and regretted not saving Morley[1] (though, unbeknownst to Jaxon, Morley was alive).[6] Some time after writing the note, Jaxon died.[1]

Notes[]

  • Jaxon's corpse can be difficult to find due to the environment of the Trench. His body is found facedown in a pool of water, in between the section of the Trench with the sunken truck, and the section with a collapsible wooden bridge to the north (where Runner's log 01: Career change is found).
  • Jaxon's NPC record uses the template of a Responder corpse.

Appearances[]

Jaxon Reed appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: The Pitt update.
