George was a miner who worked at mine site Kittery when the Great War occurred.
Background[]
Because the automated nuclear alert system initially came in garbled, George believed it was another advertisement for Red Rocket. However, he and his co-worker Luann soon heard the bombs drop above them while they were in the mine. Panicking, George wanted to quickly leave the mine. Luann thought he was crazy for entertaining such a notion while the bombs were going off, but George was concerned that the mine would not hold. Luann tried to stop him from going up top, but George left her anyway. Their fates are unknown, but they likely perished in the mine, as it is sealed upon discovery by the player character.[1]
