9x19mm Parabellum is an ammunition type in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout: New Vegas, the Fallout TV series, Fallout Tactics, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and was planned to appear in Van Buren.
Background[]
Before the Great War, 9mm was the preferred type of ammunition for small weapons in the American Southwest, while the military and the eastern and western seaboards tended to favor the more powerful 10mm ammunition. 9mm is also lightweight and easy to find.[1] One downside to 9mm was its infamous inferior lethality and has kept that reputation even after the Great War.[2]
Known 9mm ammo brands included pre-War European companies Donaustahl GmbH and Sellier & Bellot.[3][4]
