Fallout Wiki:Perk split project

	This is the home page of a Fallout Wiki project. A project is a collaboration of editors improving articles and other content related to a particular subject. For more information, see Fallout Wiki:Projects. This project is currently considered inactive but may be revived by any editor willing to do so.

The perk split project is an effort to complete splits of all multi-game perk pages to individual game-specific articles.

Scope[]

All perk articles that are combined, several games encompassing one article. The exceptions to this qualifier are explained below. This project has gained community approval by way of forum vote accessible here.

Guidelines[]

Once split, infoboxes will be less cluttered and a clean and organized palate will be encouraging to editors who are interested in elaborating on a specific game. As the newest entry in the series has introduced additional levels of complexity to perks by way of legendary perks, implications on plans and crafting, punch card machines, and loadouts, a clear delineation will serve our articles and readers well.

Roadmap information

1. From the main article, split off each applicable game into a new article, using parenthesis to indicate the game its from.
2. Once all games are split off, structure the original article as an overview page, example here.
3. Update the links to reflect new page names on their applicable perk pages, for example [Fallout 76 perks].
4. Update navbox link, for example at the bottom of [Fallout 76 perks] article, {{navbox perks FO76}}.
5. Note progress below in the chart to keep everyone informed of who has done what, using with {{checkmark}} and your signature.

Notes[]

• Do not separate FO1, FO2, FOT - those three perks can be left together in [Perk name (Fallout)] format.
• If a perk belongs to Fallout: The Roleplaying Game, split it off to its own article the same as any other. link to Fallout: The Roleplaying Game perks from the new overview article.
• SynthKate is a bot that will be used to automate link fixes.
• Any questions, please feel free to ask the project leads and they are happy to help.
• Nuclear Winter:
  • NW pages now have their own navbox - {{Navbox perks FO76NW}} Game mode has since been removed from the game, template is now a redirect to Nuclear Winter perks.
  • NW pages should be separate from FO76 pages - Don't create new articles for those perks, in overviews, instead link to Nuclear Winter perks.
• Fallout 76: Please use this template when creating FO76 pages {{Create article/perk/FO76}}
  • Capitalize the first letter of the SPECIAL
  • do not put [[Level]]
• All Fallout 76 legendary perks have been migrated to the 76-specific infobox - - Waster

2nd round perks[]

These perks are mainly found in the older games - FO1, FO2, FOT, FO3, FNV and occassionally in newer games like FO4. These perks should be split in the same manner as the other perks, for the sake of consistency of perk articles across the wiki.
