The punch card machine is a world and workshop object in Fallout 76, introduced in the Locked & Loaded update.
Characteristics[]
The machine works as the gatekeeper to the SPECIAL loadouts system. In order to fully access the system, players need to first interact with a punch card machine. Moreover, players can also craft their own machines at any of their C.A.M.P.s. The machine utilizes the perk cards given to the player character during Reclamation Day, allowing management of perks. The machine has 10 slots marked "Perk" across a board, and a yellow drop box attached on the left. Only 7 of the slots, one for each SPECIAL category, are occupied.
Crafting[]
Crafting of the punch card machine is automatically unlocked upon reaching or surpassing level 25 with any character and costs no components. This item is located in the "Crafting" section in build mode. It shares the build limit of 20 with all other crafting benches in a C.A.M.P. It requires no resources to be created, meaning it can be made and scrapped infinitely with no adverse effects on resources.

- Can be crafted at a C.A.M.P. or workshop once the requirements are met.
- Twelve are located at train stations in Appalachia, one at each station.
- Three are located in the main faction settlements: The Crater, Fort Atlas, and Foundation.

Notes[]
- Despite being a punch card machine, used to track time, the time which the machine displays is always 11:24 and does not react to the passage of time.
- The perks displayed are as follows: Gladiator (Strength), Concentrated Fire (Perception), Lead Belly (Endurance), Inspirational (Charisma), First Aid (Intelligence), Action Boy/Action Girl (Agility), and Pharma Farma (Luck).
- It is one of the only C.A.M.P. items that can be made for free.
