It's with great excitement that we're finally launching Fallout 76, a Fallout game unlike anything we've done. Really, it's a game unlike any we've ever played. It's been our privilege and passion to build games that transport you into new worlds and new experiences. With Fallout 76, we've woven together parts of our past Fallouts, the survival genre, and massive online games, to create something unique. A game where you share in the story and the struggle to survive, with your friends, with strangers and with us.Fallout 76 - Launch and Beyond

This page is an overview of developers who worked on Fallout 76 by Bethesda Softworks.

Credits[]

Due to the live nature of the game, Fallout 76 has had its credits altered multiple times throughout its history. There have been eleven iterations of the credits:

Oftentimes the credits are altered to reflect promotions within game development positions. Individuals who no longer work at their respective game company are also moved to the "additional" section of their position.

Beginning with the Skyline Valley update, the "additional" sections of credits (which had previously been, for the most part, reserved for people who no longer worked at the respective company) also began to include people who were still employed but no longer worked on Fallout 76. As such, the "main" category of a development position (for example, "world art" vs. "additional world art") now more closely presents the active team working on the game. In general, the Bethesda Game Studios team has presented as becoming smaller while working on other new projects, while the Double Eleven team has expanded.

The credits of voice actors are also updated. The Fallout 76 voice cast credits were most recently updated for the Skyline Valley update, but they were not updated at all from Steel Reign to America's Playground.

The credits are stored in a text file titled "credits.txt" in the game's files, specifically the .bsa for Interface. Fallout 76 has the longest credits of any Fallout game, even when excluding additional credits such as ZeniMax Media employees, Bethesda.net credits, localization credits and other overseas information. As such, this article has been split into the ten transcripts of the credits for ease of access. For more details on each iteration of the credits, see their respective subpages.

Development companies[]

At first, only Bethesda Softworks were the primary developers of the game. Arkane Studios, Iron Galaxy, id Software, and ZeniMax Online Studios provided minor developmental assistance at release. Beginning in 2021, and formally announced in 2022, Double Eleven and Sperasoft have helped develop Fallout 76 alongside Bethesda Softworks. As of Mutation Invasion, developers from The Multiplayer Group and SkyBox Labs have also been credited on Fallout 76.
